Home Opener Watch Party (will be held in Lakewood, post #87)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm currently scheduled to be on-call for work that week. If I can switch that night with a co-worker, I'm in. I'm especially up for the Lakewood location, since I'm also a Lakewood resident :gay:

I get the want for the Lakewood location, but then again, downtown is going to be something special, that night. I believe Winks in the Galleria has their own parking garage. I'd want to know the price of parking for that night.

Can a mod add a new poll to locations. This would make it easier. Lakewood or Downtown

I'd be up for either location (assuming I can get out of on-call). Just saw you mention the Lakewood location before. Plus it's way bigger.

@Hydroponic3385 - Space is one of my main concerns, The lady I talked to said that Lakewood was the best location. Plus the TV's are huge. Parking isn't going to be an issue in Lakewood.

But the decision is up to the masses, not just one or 2. Unless there really isn't enough feedback,

Personally, I would vote to have it somewhere more neutral in NE Ohio. There are plenty of hardcore Cavs fans on here from the Youngstown/Akron/Canton/Columbus area as well and with the game being on a Thursday evening, It makes it much harder for those people to make it.

Possibly somewhere like Twinsburg?

I'll probably end up going to the new BDubs in Kent to watch it. That's my favorite watering hole for sporting events, I'm typically there for the Browns games and UFC PPV's.

^ I also wanted to add that If it does end up going down in "The Land" and there are others that would prefer to get together in the Kent area, feel free to post in here or PM me. If you haven't already been there, Kent BW3 is the perfect place to watch sporting events.

Go Tigers!

Just put in pto for that day.
If I get ill deff come. I don't mind either location. I live in the middle of cleveland So I'm close to everything.

I'm giving this poll until the end of the weekend. Next Monday, I will go with the majority vote.

We've got a room downtown so that location is walkable for us. However, we're going to try for lottery tickets. So if we don't get them, we would probably be in for either location, with downtown preferable.

I really don't give a shit. I will probably take that Friday off work (as I am from NW Ohio) so I wouldn't mind heading somewhere. I may have tickets to the game though, so I will have to find out once I am given that answer.

Like Soda said, if b00b is there, I don't think I can turn this down so we can all surround him and give Hoyer compliments.

I don't expect you to know the rapport that has been built on this site, since you're a recent "fan" of ours.

We had a meet up when the banner first went up. WUJU brought doughnuts. So, if this happens, it's tradition that doughnuts are part of the plan.
I'm new to this board but, I've met people online from playing fantasy football and we have met up.
It's turned into a bunch of us every year go to Vegas for the 1st week of the NFl for drinking, gambling etc.

People here seem cool so I'd be down for doing this even if it means coming in from Memphis to do this.
I am that excited for the Cavs season.

Lakewood is closer to where my relatives live and I am originally from the Westside (West Park) so i also know the Lakewood area better.
But, downtown would work also since I went to CSU and used to work downtown.

Well this looks like it's going well...

Anyway, it should be downtown near the Q to be part of hit he atmosphere that day. Gonna be crazy.
That's an excellent point about the atomosphere being more highly charged down near the Q.

Another reason I hate Florida: Further away from the team and city I lived in the first 20 years. Can't even imagine managing to meet up with any of you, but humor me at least: Can we work anything out for those that live in South Florida? If not, what's the best plan for this straggler?
