How Will Attendance Be This Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Except the Indians.

I honestly don't think you read people's posts. He said IF they had a winning organization.

IF the Indians had a winning organization, I guarantee they'd sell out their games. Cleveland/Ohio fans are incredible.

Off topic but even if IF the Indians had a winning organization the Indians would still be last in attendance. We are in first place and nobody could care less.

I just hope we don't turn into the Pacers. They have the 2nd worst attendance but the 3rd seed in the East. That city couldn't care less about the NBA.

I dated a girl who was from Indianapolis. They hate the Pacers there because of the bad press that Artest's squad got. Not just the Malice at the Palace, but I guess they were tied to a bunch of shootings and general douchebaggery, too. I think it would take a finals run or two to get the city to rally around them again.

Indy is a huge front running town just like Cleveland with the Cavs and Indians. If Luck is a bust nobody will be going to those games.

Some short memories around here...maybe some of you weren't around for the late 90's early 2000's, 450+ consecutive sellouts...google it if you're not familiar.

Exactly my thoughts. I literally face palmed when I read that Indians would be in last for attendance if they were a winning team. Are people's memories really that short?

He has to be drunk and/or trolling.

I think that is true of just about any team tbh. Miami is an exception as there is too much to do in MIA, but in most other markets you put a good product on the floor and the fans will come.

There's a lot to do in LA, DAL (who Bosh called bandwagoners,) NY, etc. and they have no problems with attendance when they win.

Problem with Miami, and Florida pro teams in general (Rays and Jaguars most noticeably, though the Rays situation is a different story), is that not many of the people who actually live there are actually from there (fans of other teams), not to mention it was one of the states that was hit the hardest during the recession. No Miami team has had a good and solid fan base since the Shula and Marino era Dolphins. Even the years the Marlins were good and won their World Series' they had shitty attendance numbers. It's not that there is too much to do, I mean I would think there is much more to do in NYC and LA and yet they always have good crowds, even with the Knicks being so shitty for so long and LAL having to go through the post-Showtime era and the crying Kobe years where they were awful.

This last stretch of games tells you all you need to know about shitty attendance at Indians games. Large majority Of fans assumed the early success would be short live...

Surprise, surprise...in about two weeks, you'll be looking at a sub-.500 team struggling to score 3 runs per game. This is who the indians are and nobody should be faulted for refusing to attend their games.

Sure, they should. If you only go to games when your team is a title contender, you're a shitty fan. So I'll fault the fuck out of them.
