Just curious to see how we think this will play out...

We win in every situation of this playing out.

Considering there are infinite possibilities under "other", I highly doubt it.

In all seriousness, TT will be a good back-up, salary notwithstanding.

The Cavs - specifically Dan Gilbert's wallet and the state of the team's cap going forward - will be the ones to lose, potentially, depending on how things shake out.

We'll probably cave in and pay him like 87.5 mil, sadly.

This. I really don't care how much we offer TT and how he think it's too little or whether he accepts the contract or not. Not into spending Dan's money just because he thinks he's better than Draymond Green. If Dan is OK with it, then everybody has to be OK with him spending too much, too. But we all know this is not the case. (inb4 "but he'z bilyonerz")

You better hope your ass won't end up as Sprewell and become "unsignable" for a balanced yet lucrative contract.

He'll sign a three or four year deal worth about $18 mil per year (I think this is possible).

If he signed a QO, can they trade him with the trade exception?

Imma NOT a FO and contract Guy, so color me pleased I'm in the 60% slot with my POV.

TPE's cannot be traded. They can only be used to acquire another (non-FA) player or it can be let expire (1 year from date acquired).

I'd QO him...then i'd play him about 24 mpg. No team on the planet is offering him 20M+ a year next year. If he leaves, replaces him with a ring chasing vet...our main core is still intact.

Gut says it gets done this year at 5/87. Huge overpay.

I think he will come to his senses and we get him for 5/80 or maybe even less. Because I still don't think we even offered him that officially.
