If the Cavs didn't want Jawad to count against the roster but play in Erie, they would have to cut him and hope he goes and plays in Erie but he'd be free to sign or get called up by any team...

Like I said, it's a very low risk, high reward type move. If it doesn't work, boom cut - no problems. If it does work - sick scoring punch off the bench.

Regardless, I would be beyond surprised if Ferry even had interest in him.

I do not know, didn't think so, but I could be wrong. ZCM93 seems to think you can.

DJ's contract is guaranteed now because we didn't cut him by the deadline to cut players who had unguaranteed contracts. If you can in fact just move a player to the D-League, then send Danny and DJ to the D-League, re-sign Z, sign TMAC.

Oh, it's intriguing, but I never thought it would be a viable option. Not sure it'd work to get both him and Z and make it past the 1st round of the playoffs.
