If bought-out, Cavs option for McGrady

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
In theory, of course, but teams never think like this. They try to rationalize their moves and keep trying to fit a square peg through a round hole.

Regardless, I would be beyond surprised if Ferry even had interest in him.
Eh, we all know how much Ferry loves chemistry. If he tries it and it clearly isn't working because T-Mac is trying to do too much or just isn't jiving with the rest of the team, Ferry would accept his mistake and cut him IMO.

Damn - figured that'd be the case.

I didn't think being 15 deep could be a problem...
I do not know, didn't think so, but I could be wrong. ZCM93 seems to think you can.

DJ's contract is guaranteed now because we didn't cut him by the deadline to cut players who had unguaranteed contracts. If you can in fact just move a player to the D-League, then send Danny and DJ to the D-League, re-sign Z, sign TMAC.
yeah, that would've been an easy solution to our problem lol.

Evidently they do count towards the 15 player max, sooo...we're kinda screwed.

Come on. You know you'd at least be CURIOUS to see if he can wreck some people off the bench. If he can't, oh well, but if he still got GAME

We'd be the sickest team ever.

The last year of the Shaq/Kobe era was probably the "sickest" team of all time. That doesn't mean it converted into a championship.

PG: Gary Payton
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Devean George
PF: Karl Malone
C: Shaquille O'Neal

Sometimes it's not all about brining in the big-name players even though their numbers look awfully good. Especially when their on the wrong side of 30 and injuries had decimated them for the last couple of years. Stick with the chemistry that we've shown. There's a reason the Cavaliers have the best record in the league.

So let's get this straight.

Ferry trades for Shaq.
Re-signs Varejao.
Signs Parker, Moon, and Powe.
Drafts Danny Green.
Trades for Antawn Jamsion.

Now the possibility of inking T-Mac to a vet min? Ha

Not to mention were 43-11

Can somebody say GM of the YEAR

fixed it for ya.

How do you define 'not working'?

With the limited minutes and expanded rotation of the regular season, there's a good chance we wouldn't know the T-Mac experience failed until is it way too late. I'm sure he would do fine in the regular season in limited minutes, but when it gets down the playing the Hawks/Celtics/Magic/Lakers etc we could suddenly find T-Mac is either inadequate as a player or is taking too much away from the "team" style of basketball. The risk of that mistake is too high, IMO.

Mo/Gibson
T-Mac/West/Parker
LeBron/Moon/Green
Jamison/Hickson/Powe
Shaq/AV/Z

I'm not a Parker fan.. Same with Wad.

I really don't care about past teams. I care about what we have now...if T Mac could contribute a decent fraction of what he used to be off the bench, that would help a TON.

but how the fuck does he fit on our roster in the first place?

Tmac off the bench with Moon, Delonte, Z, and Andy. Man that sounds pretty good. I don't know though. It seems like it would take too long to get him in shape. Sign him to the same contract as Powe so we can throw him in storage until next year.
