I'm pretty close to ending my support for this franchise...

Was he super pretentious about how he said it and did he throw the words, "quite frankly," "quite honestly" and "Not the least bit," around aggressively?

You forgot to say how he knew he was going to turn out that way from his ladder drill skills from his middle school gym class. He saw his potential before anyone even noticed him.

The one druggie at my all white highschool did back in the day. One day I was whispering something to my friend that had nothing to do with him. The kid stood up, yelled "stop talkin smack about me, I have a knife in my bag and I'll cut you up." I just kinda laughed it off being young and ignorant. Later that day he was caught cutting up a locker sign that someone stuck on his locker by mistake. Last I heard he was in the slammer for drugs and is a registered sex offender. It was probably boobie.

That would explain all the free time he has for scouting and posting. It does not, however, explain his affinity for all things Brandon Weeden.

How is internet access in prison these days? Seems pretty good.

You'll be back.

I can't begin to imagine all the times I've rage quit the Browns.

Still here.

Yeah, I've just reached the point of not caring. I still watch all the games, I still pray they draft/acquire good players. But until the Browns have a roster capable of accomplishing something, I've given up on being emotionally invested in this team. If McCown is the starting QB next season I will not give a single fuck whether the team wins or loses. Actually...in all honestly, deep down I will be hoping the Browns lose a lot next season. Use that top 5 pick on a goddamn Quarterback.

Maybe that makes me a shitty Browns fan, I don't know. But given that the Browns are the staple for incompetence in the sports world, the only hope I have left is luck.

Don't fool yourself into thinking a top five pick somehow makes the quarterback situation disappear.

You've potentially got a guy in the front office who thinks Johnny Manziel was draftable, and depending on what happens this off-season may double down on that projection if they don't acquire anyone else besides a journeyman like McCown.

You can get a viable quarterback outside the top five, we've seen this quite frequently throughout the league with the new generation of guys like Wilson, Bridgewater, Mettenberger, Dalton, etc.

You've just got to find the right guy for the system.

I like Farmer's ability to do that at every position besides QB thus far, hopefully there was an outside influence or this was just a one time deal.

I envy your optimism.

The Browns are literally an average starting QB from being playoff contenders, I don't understand why everyone is so out of their goddamn minds stupid about their Browns criticism.

CUZ THEY COULDA SIGNED DOMIKANG SUH HE WAS A FREE AGENT

I feel your pain (as I'm sure everyone in here does), but the failure to go after Suh pushing you over the edge doesn't make much sense...

Suh really is being overpaid. Don't get me wrong, he's an absolute beast, but the guy is getting paid more than JJ Watt, and the eye-test (I'm too lazy to look up the stats that will inevitably prove it) shows me that he doesn't come close to wreaking the kind of havoc JJ Watt does. $60 million guaranteed over the first 3 years is crazy money for a defensive player. I'm glad the Browns stayed away from that kind of spending!

@Deezus who is that woman in your new avatar? She seems so familiar... is she in the Ladies Professional Golf Association?

Suh wasn't even a scheme fit with the Browns. Look at it objectively. Would the Browns like to have Suh? Sure you always want to acquire that level of talent but they would have to change their defense for him. Suh is a penetrating DT/DE. For Pettine's 3-4 D-Line he needs a big DT that eats blocks so that the LBs and DEs can make plays. Shift Suh to DE in Pettine's system and you're still not utilizing him to his fullest because Pettine's DE's aren't sack guys.

If you can't maximize his ability then why would you pay crazy money for him? Also knowing that, why would the player want to come to a place where he's not a scheme fit?

Suh to Cleveland never made sense for the player or team.

The Browns have been unable to find a literally average starting QB for 15 years.

And in reality, Cleveland hasn't had a Quarterback string a full average to above average season together since the early 90s.
