Iman Shumpert: Gone! Thank God!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
^ and missed the other one that would have won it.

But yeah Shumperts a beast.

He'll be an All-Star someday.
This kid is only 25 yo and already is one of the best defensive players in this league.

When I said he can be as good as leonard or butler people dismissed me and thought I was crazy.
I stand by what I said, Shump has unlimited potential.

He's insanely athletic, already an excellent defender, has a very nice outside shot and form, and I think he picked up a couple of moves from Kyrie because I see him do some crazy crossovers and dribble moves lately, he can break people down and he is only going to get better.

prediction - next year shump will be a 1st or 2nd all defense team.

He was at that level for some time until injuries cut it short. Shumpert is crazy talented. He would have been the premiere 3 & D guys by now. Guys like Kawhi and Butler are getting attention because they are on good teams.

Apparently crazy high hair runs in the family, guy on the left is Shump's brother. :chuckle:

I believe Gilbert will spend any amount of money necessary to keep this core of 6 together for at least the next 3-4 years: James, Irving, Love, Shump, TT, and Moz.

The flexibility those 6 give the Cavs on offense and defense is tremendous.

I think we're just seeing Shump regain his confidence after the injury and after playing on a shit team with no leadership or direction. His role is very clearly defined here. He can become an all-star playing next to the big 3 because if how much attention they garner.

No JR??

He's a guy I'd like to keep but I wouldn't be heart broken if he left. Shumpert is a better fit between Irving and James and is younger than Smith. Ideally the Cavs keep both, but both have to be re-signed. It's easier to find a scorer off the bench than it is to replace a young, top-notch perimeter defender like Shumpert.

Sorry, what it's jrs percentage on contested threes again?

Are his defensive numbers almost ss good as shumps in the postseason?

Didn't he literally win an award for being the best player off the bench (for all intents and purposes) in the world?

Them knicks boys is gold.

Most replaceable player, by far, is mozgov

Mozgov is the most replaceable? You do remember the defense before Mozgov got here right? He helps the team out so much in multiple ways. Before Love got hurt, those two were a dynamic duo. Mozgov runs the floor well, hits FTs, and can knock down jumpers.

I think he can continue to improve and grow his game. He is a huge part of this team. I'd actually rank Mozgov as the most important piece we acquired ahead of both Shumpert and Smith.
