Iman Shumpert: Gone! Thank God!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's all part of the big plan. Dr Lebron James who is on a mission to fire his coach by losing made some tests on him and decided that Shumpert needed some more rest.

From The Bullshit Whisperer this morning. Not conclusive but hope he's in the ballpark:

Shumpert could be back from a shoulder injury by the end of the week to play his first game as a Cavalier.

Will be interesting to see where Shump fits in. I hope he starts just so that LBJ/Kyrie can come out midway through the first and JR can then check in and provide some scoring ability, as hes the only wing outside of those 2 thats shown he can create his own shot. I could see him starting but playing about equal time as JR just to balance the scoring load. I also see him taking a bunch of Delly's minutes, which is fine. Delly's at his best just going all out for like 5-10 minutes a game on defense/hustling and maybe shooting open 3's. For some reason I imagine Shump being a taller more offensively gifted Delly, and hopefully he lives up to that.

Man I think the timing of Shump coming back could be a huge catalyst to the Cavaliers' second half resurgence.

The biggest glaring difference between us and Miami is the Heat's killer transition defense; that was their lifeblood.

We have no semblance of anything like that. I'm hoping that Iman's competitiveness and physicality will rub off on this team.

Even if we could conjure up 3-4 athletic transition plays a game, we'd be much closer to a win every night. Right now, I haven't seen a Love outlet pass, or a big steal to lead to a dunk in a while. We'll be able to field lineups where we're actually pretty damn athletic and have some defensive potential.

If we roll with Shump at 1, LeBron and Trix at 2-3, Tristan and Mozgov, we should actually be pretty mobile, long and able to play some consistent defense.

I think Lloyd mentioned that he was 7-10 days away in his last game recap, too.

It would definitely be nice to have him back with a game under his belt before we play OKC.

wish he was playing against the bulls

Bulls have really struggled with PNR defensive lately especially since Noah hasn't been healthy.

I also think Thibs has been playing Gasol way too much he's going to run out of gas eventually.

It would be nice to get Shump to guard Rose tomorrow but I think the Cavs still win.

If I was Shumpert's barber this is how I would have cut his hair...
