Iman Shumpert, out the last three games with a sprained left ankle, is questionable for the Cavs game Tuesday. He will go through shootaround in Minnesota on Tuesday and make his decision on whether to play afterward. "I mean, today was my first time really getting to run around on it so we'll see how it feels tomorrow and go from there," Shumpert said after practice Monday.

I appreciate Shumps initiative, but I don't think it's worth playing him in either game pre-ASB.

I know for a fact an extra 10+days off will do nothing but HELP a sprained ankle. I know we're really thin especially with this Love thing...But we need Shump 100% for the stretch run. I wouldn't even let him try to come back tomorrow or Wednesday

Shump was asked about his improved shooting.

"With the first group, starting games, I get a lot more touches and allows me to get in a better rhythm."

Starting SG is going to be a tricky decision when JR gets back.

It will be, but IMO starting Shump was always the plan from the get go with JR being the Super 6 off the bench. Year 1 & 2 he didn't work out for him, but by having an improved jumper, he can fit next to Kyrie & LeBron very well. JR doesn't really need anyone to get him shots, where as Shump does.

That being said, there should never be a time that both Kyrie & Lebron are off the floor to help get them going. Unless its a blowout.

Once ruled out, it is not Lue's decision to play him, its strictly the medical staff.

I would think he has a much better ankle if he is actually playing.

Its a tough call. I would liked to have given him the next two games and the All Star break to get healthy but we need bodies. With Love now out, we will need Shump to play more SF as well, so LJ can play more PF and even Center. It be nice to win tonight and tomorrow with the way Boston is playing. We say seeding does not matter, but I want nothing to do with Boston or Toronto in the second round.

Lue channeling his inner Paul bear Bryant. I'm expecting an announcement soon that the team is moving training camp to junction Texas.

I really wish they traded Shumpert. Dude is beyond overrated.

In his role he will be very good, the problem that with missing bodies he is playing out of his role and then he sucks, when the team will be healthy and he will be a 3&D guy we will enjoy him

Shump has been a good three point shooter this year but everything else is lacking. I don't see him being consistently in the rotation come playoff time, assuming everyone is healthy. He was constantly out of position on defense tonight and unless the play is set up perfectly for him, he's a mess on offense as well.
