Iman Shumpert: Gone! Thank God!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why is Love listed twice?

Varejao is not good, bro, he's getting $9.7M over the next two years.

Tristan Thompson will want $13M/yr+; he's not worth that and numerous posters have demonstrated this by looking at other players salaries around the league.

Mozgov is likely to be retained at decent value, but the great deal he's on now will end.

Shump is an RFA.

At what point are we saving money on any of these 5 players?

Tiago Splitter would be a name I'd target for our front-court, and he's been mentioned numerous times and is also mentioned in the media. I've also argued that we should think about going for a big-time player with the Haywood contract. My argument is not about going below the cap, or saving Dan money, but about doing one of two things - adding another player who can create for himself (if we continue to play iso-ball), or shoring up our reserves.

My point is that we shouldn't say these guys are off the trade block, and we should definitely explore the potential for trades.

Anyone thinking I'm advocating they should be traded simply for the sake of trading them is getting lost in the nuance of the argument.

Splitter isn't as valuable as TT. He really is soft. They didn't play him against the Clippers. He has lost them 2 playoff series lol!

I don't care what his offensive side is, he has struggled in the playoffs whereas TT has come to play. I dunno. Yeah TT can't guard Dwight or Jordan, but neither can Splitter. Hence the Hack a Jordan.

I'm just saying: "FAAAAAAACK!!!!"

We can't BUY a break! We're treading water, here!

I watched the interview (was after practice, no one else was interviewed). They asked how Shump was feeling, Blatt said a little better than they had expected which was good. They asked if he will miss a game, Blatt said there's a chance he'll miss a game. They asked if Shump will start over JR, Blatt said first thing is making sure he's healthy and can play significant minutes, then they'll consider that.

SO i personally take that as he might play limited minutes, but he'll probably play. This does kind of throw a wrench into our thoughts of keeping Shump starting, but hopefully now that the team has seen how great Shump did starting, they will consider it again once he's fully healthy.

FAAAAAAAAAACK!!

This absolutely blows you can't depend on role players like Delly and Jones stepping up consistently. Could have really used both JR and Shumpert the next two games. Unbelievable how much injury adversity this team is facing this year: someone remind the basketball gods we're not Portland.

He was only just coming back from injury but I suspect he was still injured.

Hack a Jordan was used because he is an awful FT shooter, not because Splitter couldn't handle him defensively...

Guys I would be absolutely stunned if Shump doesn't play. I'm not even worried about it. I really think it is that unlikely he doesn't play

Shump will play, folks. The Cavs are sending out red herrings - no need to divulge more information to the media than necessary.

I'm not even doubtful in the slightest.

If he practiced today without any shots and actually practiced, he will play tomorrow. Just hope he doesnt re-injure himself.

It was a light practice right? Doubt it was a real practice with such little rest time.

I'm past the point of worrying after the Love injury.

If its meant to happen for the Cavs it will happen.

Either LeBron/Kyrie truly carry this team against all odds to a championship or it just wasnt our year because of the injuries.

With Kevin Love I'm thinking, no I'm expecting a championship (especially with the Spurs out). Now I'm just going to enjoy every game and watch the team improve.

True, but even a light practice on a groin injury and you most likely dont practice.

I think he'll play; I just hope that he is able to contribute 100% or close to it.

He has been amazing, and he really answered those questions about who is "next man up."
