Iman Shumpert: Gone! Thank God!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
His knee is 100%

Funny how people think Rose is back when Shump has been back for awhile. The guy is more explosive and quicker than ever. The dude played for the Knicks, worst organization in the league. Played next to the biggest bog team ever made. Hes a player that knows his role and plays it. You guys are gonna love him, hes exactly what this team needed at the 2 spot. Not an undersized Dion.

I'm a little weary of the injury. We have enough people injured the way it is, but hopefully this is something that doesn't affect him too bad going forward. I figured this type of injury could linger.

Not to worried a dislocation is more of a mental thing coming back. He might play a bit timid for a while until he trusts it is fine. Also these players have top not notch medical treatment and even more so here with the Clinic. He will be fine or adjust to the odd tweaks he may feel.

I just got done watching some Youtube and the nay sayers are going to eat crow when they see how well Bron and Shump will look together. I mean Shump has more explosion and offensive skill than I thought. He lives off trying to play great D so he can score and that is what you want on a team like this.

Shumpert hasn't played in the last 11 games.. Is this some kind of lingering injury we should be worried about?

Dislocated shoulder on Dec. 12. Supposed to play again pretty soon.

Not sure how much of a 3 & D guy he is, career 39% FG% (much maligned Dion was 42% by comparison).

why are you quoting his FG% instead of his 3P% - he's a career .343 shooter from 3 and shot .402 from 3 a couple of years ago. By contrast, Dion was at .256 from 3 this year.

I'm a endless optimist as a fan (how else can you be as a CLE fan?!?!), so I'm hoping this works out. Shump seems like the perfect fit and I suspect not being on the Knicks will help him. Hopefully he can stay healthy, is as good of a defender as we think, and can still makes some nice dunks. If he can become a reasonably efficient corner 3 guy, this should work.

Dion is a career 33% 3 point shooter, Iman is a career 34% 3 point shooter. He's pretty much a lateral move when it comes to 3 point shooting (and if you discount Dion's anomaly this year, Dion is the better 3 point shooter). He has a worse career TS% than Dion. He *should* be a better defender than Dion and he'll certainly accept his role far better than Dion did, which is a huge bonus.

Now the important question, who do I put in my avatar, the last 2 guys I've had in there got traded.

I will beat this like a dead horse but shump between Bron and Kyrie is going to be freaking great and then we still have Miller, Smith, and Jones off the bench. Once we address a big this team will be something again. I applaud Griffin aka LeBron for having the balls to do this out of left field trade. I liked Shump a lot and to get Smith and a first with him is like. Well what a fucking great trade.

I assume for his and our sake he misses the Huston game but after that I expect to see him back even in small minutes. When LeBron comes back will then we see him in the starting line up.

What are the chances he leaves in the off season? Just trying to gauge his interest here, he is still young he might have the mentality to get paid over winning.

Season is an unmitigated disaster.

It's going to be getting a lot better soon. Hang in there.

All we need now is one solid big to protect the rim. Doesn't have to be anyone great. Just someone like a Dalembert and we should be ready to turn things up and leave a lot of this poor play in the rear view mirror.

I didn't know that Shumpert played a lot of PG in college. He has had quite a lot of games with 5+ assists this season. If he can keep up this kind of passing, make the 3-pointer at a decent rate and defend, he's really a good fit in the starting lineup.
