Is AV good enough to make the all star game?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hibbert deserves it over AV even if IND/CLE have identical records. He's been real good this year (except from the line lolz).

People say that, but there is no way to know. If we take Game 3, we're in the series, and maybe we take Game 4. That shot was inexcusable, and should have led to his being cut after the season.

Maybe this, maybe that........save it. The Cavs were overmatched from the beginning. The Spurs Big 3 didn't even play all that well in game 3 and they still friggin won. Cutting Varejao would have been so dumb even Jim Paxson would have called you a retard. I don't think you remember just how much Varejao had to do with us being as successful as we were that season. the 06-07 season was when we really saw Andy turn into the pest he is today. He showed flashes of it the season before, but he really came of age that Finals season. Varejao was the 2nd most importan Cavalier we have had the last decade (less than, but you get my point), I don't care what anyone says. The difference between Varejao and the rest of the Cavs supporting cast the last few seasons was that you could always count on him to step up and bring it. When Mo was bricking threes and Big Z was sitting on the bench every 4th quarter, Andy was busting his ass out there. The fact that you could let one mistake change your whole perception of him is absolutely, 100% RETARDED.

Stats wise, there isnt one center that deserves it besides Howard. Andy has been busting ass all season and is a major factor in our success, but sadly he wont get the nod. Im not sure if people realize how valuable to his team. I guarantee if Hibbert went down, than Indy would be just as fine, if not better because they could push the ball a little more. Bargs had a few good games, but no way a Raptor gets voted in. Noah is a bumb who makes 10 mil a year. Varejao plays his game but better. The only difference is Noah may have some length on him.

I remember Z having a decent year in between his all star appearance, and I kept thinking he deserves to be the backup, but they kept putting Bosh in. Either him or Stoudamire are gonna get in as a "backup C". When in all reality, they dont even mean as much to their teams as Andy does. Hell NY has two "superstars" that shouldnt even be in the all star game based on their performance thus far. Too many guys are going to get in because of "superstar title or big market bias"
While I agree with you that they try to sneak guys in that way, no way does Amare get a spot this year. It would be a complete joke. His numbers are all at or near career lows. Tyson Chandler has honestly outplayed Amare on the Knicks, and Chandler is an actual C. In fact I'm a little surprised at the constant mentions of Hibbert here with basically zero mentions of Chandler. They've both been very good so far this season. Though as I said, I realize the Knicks have performed well below expectations.

Im not sure why people are factoring in winning for alla star consideration. garnett and ray allen and pierce were all stars for eyars on clunker teams. its not the win stars.

Amongst guys with 15 + per. 10%+ ORB and TRB
Anderson is number 1 in ORB % . number 2 in Total rebound percentage. 3rd in steals.

Tyrone Hill made it one year so anything is possible.

Yes, so did Kobe when he was averagine 35 points a game. Great players can still get in on bad teams. Borderline all-stars, and those who have never made it, are not getting in when they are putting up 10 points a game and 10 rebounds a game on a bad team.

Wow...you have to be kidding...right? I don't want to flame you if you are being sarcastic...so I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt.

If you honestly think that one shot loses any team a 7 game series, any other basketball knowledge you try to promote is seriously in question. And then, you top it off by suggesting that the Cavs should have cut one of their better players for one shot.

Wow dude...wow.

I'm mostly kidding, but that was an awful shot. And I DO think a lot of people rationalize that series and say we were NEVER going to win that series. There is a big difference between being down 2-1 and being down 3-0. 2-1: You're in the series. 3-0: Series over. The Spurs were good and experienced, but we had the best player in the universe, who had just scored 25 points in a row against Detroit. Until that series, I thought AV was a gift from god. After that series, I thought of him as a good player, who occasionally makes really stupid decisions.

Oh - and Varejao was one of the guys who laid down on December 2, 2010. He was one of the guys who just didn't give a shit, and helped double the insult to the fans.

So I won't be one of the people who cries when he leaves.

The problem here is that too many fans put way too much stock into how our players associate with Lebron. It was a regular season game that the whole team played awful in for the most part. Mo Williams was pissed about Lebron leaving. Did you give him a pass for blowing our chances of winning a title in 09?

The team didn't just play awful - they laid down. 20,000 people in the stands were looking for ONE hard foul. Just one. The players didn't feel the pain of the fans, and didn't deserve the support of the fans, for that effort. After that game, I wanted all the turds flushed - all the turds from the LeBron era. Delonte, Shaq, Powe, and maybe Boobie and Hot Wad were the only players from the 2009-10 team who had heart. Delonte and Shaq were already gone. I was happy to see Mo, Moon, and JJ gone after the December debacle. Varejao, Jamison, Parker have to be moved to make the purging complete.

I really hope he does make it. Not just because I love his game, but it's only going to help his value if we do end up trading him.

I do know why we seem so much better than last year, it's not just the addition of Kyrie, it's Andy too. He really is our MVP/allstar. There aren't many players who could replace what he brings day in and day out. He deserves it...

Blame James... just before that play he was telling all the guys in the timeout to "seize the day" that one of them had to be ready to make a big play for the team.

Of course what he meant was after he was triple teamed on a drive and forced to kick it out to one of them for a wide-open J, but his bad for not providing specifics.

You're bitter, and want to make emotional decisions. Thank god nobody put you in a position to make decisions.

I AM bitter, it's true, and I DO want the turds flushed - that's true, too. But I want to also get maximum value for the turds. I think Grant did a great job in getting value for Mo, JJ, and Moon. I hope he gets similar value for Jamison and Varejao. The Q will not be pure until the fetid remains of the spring of 2010 are purged. It is Kyrie's team. Out with the old, in with the new.

Andy Laid down? he shut down z and anthony. played 25 minutes and grabbed 8 boards.

I remember people geting on boobie gibson on that game and boobie played harder than everyone. your heat angst is misplaced.

Hard foul. That's all I wanted. A HARD foul. An elbow to the cheek-bone of #6. Perhaps some bleeding or a fracture. Not a lot to ask. Nobody stepped up.
