I hope the Cavs try use this whole Cousins thing to try and make a play for Love with Minny getting Cousins. Just seems like such a Kahn move.
Last time I checked Cousins is black and not like Austin Rivers black (where he can sorta justify it)... As we all know--Kahn is trying to field an all Ivory dynasty.... So unless the package centers around Zeller from the Cavs and the Jimmer from the Kings--then you can kiss goodbye to any chance of him letting his crowning Caucasian jewel go...

Where is this cav-kings-wolevs trade comming from??
if we are getting love and wolves are getting cousins who are the kings getting

It's an idea since the info about Cousins came out as well as the fact that Love is already known to be unhappy in Minny (combined with Loves comments about KI) and the assests the Cavs have in terms of picks.

Getting a player like Cousins while giving up a player like Love (since he's not happy) just seems like a move Kahn would make while not thinking twice about it.

A mountain of manure and a one year pass to Cedar Point... which means it's a done deal.

I see Cousins as a bigger Chris Webber. On and off the court he has the same issues CWebb had, really. I'd be disappointed if the Cavs didn't at the very least take a long hard look into the idea before dismissing it.

With Cousins, we have a very good chance of being really, really good going forward.. Kyrie and Cousins can be perennial all stars.

Chris weber was on of the best rookies of the last 25 years. Demarcus cousins ceiling is chris webers rookie year. Weber was a deer in transition, a fantastic passer, and a far, far better jumpshooter

When I say I see him as a bigger Chris Webber, I mean in terms of skill set. Post up ability, ability to shoot from outside, passing ability, running the floor etc.

Both have that bad boy/immature image.

Demarcus Cousins is underachieving right now, but he does have that potential to put up similar stats to Webber.

Demarcus Cousins is a good passer?

I dont know if we'll ever see another PF like Chris Webber, talent-wise. What I can confirm for sure is that "Boogie" is no Chris Webber, and I dont want him anywhere near this team.

Of course I wouldn't do that straight-up and bare the risk of Cousins ruining our locker room. In case you didn't read everything, it would be completely contingent on an OKC deal as well, meaning we'd have a monster vet presence in Perkins, as well as a top-5 pick in TOR's. So we'd basically be at: Kyrie + Cousins + 2013 lotto versus Kyrie + Andy + Dion + 2013 lotto. Given we're trying to move Andy anyways, I'd bank on a sure-fire combo in Cousins/Kyrie and whatever player we draft next year over our current situation. As much as I wouldn't want to lose Waiters, it would free up the option of Goodwin, Shabazz, or McLemore without interfering with current commitments at the same position.

Do you think Sacramento would let Cousins go for anything less, anyways? If so, you're sadly mistaken.

Regardless, it's not like this would ever happen, nor should any play for Cousins happen without a guaranteed influx of veteran presence. Just fun to think about.

I'd take a risk on Cousins, but I sure as shit wouldn't give up Thompson, Waiters, and a (probable) top five pick for him. That's essentially gutting our team for a guy who may never be anything other than a locker room cancer, and that's an absurd risk to take even with the OKC deal.

Personally, if we could get the OKC deal done, I'd rather either keep our current team and add two lottery picks (and hope Toronto sucks enough to end up in the top three this year so we get their pick next year) than trade half our assets for Cousins. Either that or send a package like: Thompson and the lesser of our two lottery picks for Cousins. If they don't take it, they don't take it, but that's about as much as I'd be comfortable offering for a guy like Cousins. I definitely wouldn't part with Waiters.

From Marc Stein:

"There's a growing sense among potential suitors that under-fire Kings general manager Geoff Petrie, who has overseen zero trips to the playoffs under five coaches in the six-plus seasons since Rick Adelman left town, would be willing to move Cousins, preferably in exchange for a dependable veteran of quality or two who could bring some instant improvement to a franchise stuck in lottery land."

From James Ham:

“With his value at presumably an all-time low, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Kings wait this thing out. In the meantime, Cousins has clearly started to burn bridges with both teammates and the organization. It’s possible that Cousins understands this and is trying to force the Kings to make a move, but that would be a fools’ errand. The book is out on Cousins. The league knows what he brings to the floor, but they also know what damage he can do off it. His troubles are well documented and there won’t be a fresh slate. Whatever problems Cousins has, he would be wise to deal with them here in media-friendly Sacramento because it could be much worst. Teams aren’t lining-up offers of equal value for a player with this kind of baggage. Anyone who is calling is looking for a bargain-basement type of deal. I’m not sure what value a 6-foot-10 center shooting just 41.3 percent from the floor has on the market anyway. We aren’t talking about an All-Star player – we are talking about All-Star potential currently circling the drain in his own mediocrity. Following the game against the Clippers, Cousins spoke to the media and he told them he apologized to teammates, but they know better. You can only apologize so many times before your words become hollow and meaningless. Cousins needs to look in the mirror. His team is 8-17 and a large part of that record can be directly attributed to him. He has seven technical fouls and he has now missed 3½ games due to either league or team suspension, and we aren’t even through December yet. This is a train wreck of epic proportions and all we can do is keep our collective eyes peeled and wait for the next incident. And it will come, trust me.”

I could see Philly getting in on Cousins.

If they offer Bynum's expiring contract for Cousins along with Sacramento's bad contracts, they could work something out. Plus it would sell to the Kings fans that they are adding a "star" like Bynum.

Since this was brought up, I might as well throw this trade in.

Cavs Get
Cousins
Salmons

Kings Get
Bynum

Philly Gets
AV

Works salary wise and would probably need some picks in there somewhere to even things out. Not a bad deal all around really. Philly has been hanging around without Bynum and a player like AV could really help them. Sac gets rid of an attitude problem, some salary, and gets an expiring for this year. Cavs get a potential All-Star, albeit with some major baggage. Not likely to happen, but it's at least something that isn't insanely lopsided.

If Philly traded Bynum for Varejao I'm pretty sure their fans would burn the fucking arena down.
