Yeah - Smart will be fired before Cousins is traded, imo

He's not going to end up on the Heat because they really don't have anything to trade for him. They're not going to trade Wade or LeBron, and I don't see them trading Bosh for a mentally unstable kid who may never put it together when they've already got a mentally stable guy who helped them win a title a year ago. Outside of those three, the Heat have jack shit.

It's not a likely scenario that's for sure, but the Heat do have Philly's pick, and depending on what Sacremento wants they could definately put together a package of solid (not great) vets on reasonable contracts for him.

He'll be traded right before the Maloofs sell the team and that could be sooner rather then later.

And to answer the question, yes he is worth the risk but he's not worth the price it would take to acquire him.

The Maloofs selling the Kings will be the best thing for Sacramento, the NBA, and of course the poor guys wasting away in that organization.

Philly's pick won't be a lottery pick. Sacramento isn't going to trade Cousins for a mid to late first rounder and a bunch of geriatric veterans. There's just no conceivable way that Cousins ends up in Miami unless Miami sends Bosh to the Kings (or I guess Wade or LeBron, which won't happen). I don't see Miami pulling that move because, duh, they just won a title and there's no logic to trading away a third of their core.

Apparently he covered himself up with a towel and peed in a gatorade cup mid 4th quarter tonight while on the bench... A few reports are coming out on that tonight...

RCF's next potential lawsuit right here folks.

I think Cousins' problem is frustration with the lack of talent around him. Put him with Kyrie and Andy and let's see what happens. Sign next year's version of Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry to shore up the bench, and Cousins gets to find out what the winner's circle is all about.

If Zach Randolph can make himself into a winner, then this guy can, too.

A Kyrie and Boogie combo would be pretty lethal.......

I love this kid's game. Unfortunately I don't think we have enough assets to obtain him without breaking the bank, and I also don't think Byron would get along with him at all.

Fuck it, he's worth the risk. Reminds me a lot of Rasheed. Sure he has a hard time controlling his emotions but he doesn't act like a Tim Thomas on the court and looks like he wants to win out there. In terms of the game, you can just see the talent: big body, good length, and a nice feel for the game particularly passing.

Oh, please let this trade happen. That would be my thought on any trade.

'No one can keep Cousins in line'

Whether DeMarcus Cousins is a divisive presence in Sacramento likely isn't as important as Geoff Petrie saying Monday that Cousins wasn't on the block -- though that may not halt the speculation. The Wizards went to great lengths over the last year to get rid of young players whose immaturity, they felt, was wearing [John Wall] down, trading center JaVale McGee to Denver for Nene and guard Nick Young to the Clippers and using the amnesty provision to waive forward Andray Blatche.

"No one can (keep Cousins in line), and John doesn't need to try," a friend of Wall's said over the weekend. "I don't think DeMarcus has any interest in doing anything other than what he wants to do."
