is it likely for Anthony Davis to be next Hasheem Thabeet or Kwame/Olowokandi?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Funny, because I wouldn't want him on the team if he shaved it.

That's funny because the only way I don't want him on the team is if he loses his limbs in a quadruple amputation.

While admittedly I do not watch NCAA that much, from what I've seen and read of Anthony Davis, he's a great shot blocker like Thabeet, well, a better one, but like him he also has a virtually non existent offensive game, where most of it comes off garbage points and such.

Kwame and Olowokandi translated into okay NBA players, but, what I'm saying is can we afford to win the lottery this year? First overall pick you expect much much more. Another guy who comes to mind is Emeka Okafor and while he translated into decent NBA player also, magnificent rookie season, there's a lot of signs that Anthony Davis will not translate into a superstar or even top 3 center in the league, and the way the contracts are for the #1 pick, and also wasting a pick and not getting a wing player, can we really afford to get lucky and win the lotto?

and if we do, do we go against the public opinion and draft the much safer pick in Harrison Barnes, but I'd rather we not win the lotto and just move up in the draft like Utah did last year and pick Barnes or MKG.

We got lucky with Kyrie but now that we got Kyrie we can't afford a set back that this scenario could bring.

But hey, he does have Dwight Howard shoulders.

Anthony Davis is a future superstar. Future top 5 player in the league. He's not the next Thabeet or Olowokandi... just flat out, no.

It's going to be pretty sweet when the Cavs when the lottery again this year.

Olowokandi was almost like 24 when he was drafted and he beat up on bums in college. Kwame didn't have the mental makeup to ever be an all-star. Davis at worst is the next Marcus Camby imo.

that's pretty fucking good

Future top 5 player? That's wrong and I would be willing to bet on that.

Weren't you also involved with JJ Hickson, said he was going to be a good player if I remember correctly?

Being a dick stopped being impressive in middle school.

Anthony Davis reminds me a lot like David Robinson. If I remember correctly, Robinson was a SF who had a late growth spurt and played center. He used his athleticism to become one of the best centers of all time. Anthony Davis was a guard who now is projected to play PF just because of his length and athleticism. And who knows, he might have another growth spurt lol. Imagine the second coming of Ralph Sampson!

Only when its disagreeing with W&G right? I'm sure if I disagreed with someone else nothing would have been said.

Dude, it had nothing to do with disagreeing. It had everything to do with your snarky antagonistic comment. Something that there really wasn't any reason for.

That is pretty normal in this board. :D

IMHO he's overrated, just like Harrison Barnes. MKG is the best prospect in this draft. In the Indiana/Kentucky game last night, you could see the impact that Cody Zeller had compared to Anthony Davis when they were both taken out due to early foul trouble. While Anthony Davis was on the bench the team could still produce with out him because of players like TJ and MKG. There wasn't that big of a gap missing from the team and they were actually able to pull ahead without him. Cody Zeller had to be put back in ASAP, because he had a much bigger impact on that Indiana team. I wonder if Anthony Davis would have the same impact that Zeller did if he was on that Indiana team.
