I really do hope they implement some grey into the uniforms.

Brown, grey and orange is a real nice trio IMO.

The design that looks like it's going to be chosen can best be described as a happy medium between Minnesota and Seattle.

Let's start with the helmet. A flat matte finish in a color I can only describe as "candy orange" with a matching color facemask and sublimated striping enhances the look of the helmet without sacrificing it's iconic image.

The Jersey is candy orange with silver accents and brown trim. A custom block font is meant to invoke a blue collar feel. The stripes are subliminated and higher up on the sleeve, kind of like large spaghetti straps.

There are three different pairs of pants, Orange, gray and Brown. There is no Brown jersey, but rather a gray with orange chrome accents and white with the same. The pants have the same sublimated striping as the helmet and jerseys. Any questions?

Let them moan and complain for 3 days, while the rest of us are under 45 enjoy the new look.
These jerseys are being made for the present and future generation. We can always wear the traditional looks 2-3 times a year to appease the old timers.

Ill be honest, i agree that a lot of purists might get a little upset. I myself am a fan of teams that maintain there classic looks; OSU, Penn State, Packers and of course - the Browns.

I do feel, however, that the one thing that will cure the individuals who fear change is winning.

If management puts together a consistently winning ball club - they can wear pink uniforms for all i care. I just want to win some God forsaken games.

How you can call a team the Browns and have orange be your primary uniform color is mind boggling. I don't believe that report for a second. The orange uniforms the Browns have previously worn have been awful too. You don't rock orange jerseys with orange helmets.

The Browns aren't named after a color, they're named after a person. Paul BROWN. The colors were just that. He even made a second team with pretty much the same colors in Cincinnati.

So, over at the Scout.com forum, it sounds like the jersey guy just might be legit. That, or he's been lucky with the Vikings and Dolphins... Take it with a grain of salt, but worth discussion.

A few things I've gathered...

1) Browns apparel with a light shade of grey has been flying off the shelves compared to the traditional Brown & Orange. Think...

2) The helmet seems to be going the matte finish route.. The stripe would be "sublimated", kind of like the Seahawks helmet...

With a "candy orange" that is a bit more "rich" than this..

3) Jersey info is scarce, but it sounds like brown jerseys are out and gray are in... Overall, the gray being lighter and orange "richer" than this...

Like I said, take it with a grain of salt. I do like what they seem to be doing with the helmet. Wonder if the stripe atop the helmet stays the same, disappears or gravitates toward the more textured look..
