Jersey Changes Coming: ~April 2015

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Browns aren't named after a color, they're named after a person. Paul BROWN. The colors were just that. He even made a second team with pretty much the same colors in Cincinnati.

Colors came as a tribute for BG letting them practice near the bell tower.

3) Jersey info is scarce, but it sounds like brown jerseys are out and gray are in... Overall, the gray being lighter and orange "richer" than this...

I was at the game when BG wore these uniforms. When I first got to the game I hated them, but they really started to grow on me as the game went on. Only thing I'd change would have been making the gray lighter, so hopefully you are right in that regard.

I honestly think gray and orange are a very underrated color combination. I always reference Syracuse and their basketball uniforms in this instance. As much as I love brown in sports uniforms also, we need to limit the amount of brown I think if we want to commit to a gray jersey.

The jersey guy sounds like he is actually legitimate. He said this around a week ago:

So he predicted this.

Just because he knew they were having a meeting soon doesn't mean he knew anything about which uniforms the front office wants to go with. It is possible he has close ties to someone with nike or the browns and that at one time he may have seen a concept that was created during the design process but do you honestly think that anyone outside of that room in the tweeted picture actually knows what uniform we selected? I sure dont. This has been in the plans since Haslam got here, I dont think he would let the uniforms leak a year before they are released.

After a two year process, Nike released Florida State's new jerseys.

I mention this, because the trend of huge freaking numbers that are incredibly distracting seem to be a key to Nike.

My takeaway, expect HUGE freaking numbers that you can see from outer space.

Come on man, i am doubting that at least half of the posters on RCF have never even been to outer-space.

Unbelievable.

From what I gathered, his argument was that the uniforms he described were the one's that Nike was going to pitch to the Browns. He never said that they were the jerseys the Browns selected. I'm pretty sure he stated that he had ties to Nike specifically.

Honestly, there is no way to tell until the uniforms actually come out.

Of course you couldn't wait to jump in with nothing enlightening to add.

Shocker. Par for the course.

Every time I see this thread has a new post in it I get excited about a possible leak or more news.

.....and then my 1/4 chub goes down.

Quietly, the helmets made by Riddell are changing... There's a new helmet called a "speedflex" helmet that aims to limit the blunt force of intentional and incidental impacts to the crown of the helmet. Also, it aims at trying to limit the helmet coming off with a new ratchet system... Saw it on @uniswag's twitter in a picture and did more digging. You'll notice three huge differences (I did) listed and shown below:

1) The obvious crown of the helmet has a flexible area that can bend when hit. I guess it only bends like 1/4 an inch.
2) The ratcheted chin strap. The archaic button isn't as sure as a ratchet. Wonder if it's heavier.
3) The facemask isn't connected in the middle/front of the helmet (forehead). That will mean that the blows coming to a mask will diffuse out to the sides of the mask when hit, where the mask connects.

Pretty cool, overall. Link: http://espn.go.com/college-football...troduces-new-technology-help-alleviate-impact

He is a sneaker design consultant with strong ties in the industry, check his linkedin.... would not be surprised if this is the type of color way we are looking at for the jerseys next season... i think it looks incredible...
