Joe "Captain America" Harris

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Let's try comparing him to a black player.

Then another race also if possible.

Well Danny Green but I think I should only get half credit for that.

Mixed feelings about that comparison though.

He's the white shooting guard Jeremy lin.

We are all in Harris histeria right now. I like how few mistakes he makes and how he knows how to play in multiple defensive systems so when the cavs throw a zone in he is in the right spot. I don't think starting him is the answer but surely his play makes Griffin think carefully about fining an aflalo style 2 guard by deadline.

Knowing the designated race of Raja Bell has never been more crucial... Anyways, I'd rather see Harris get time now than later in the year. Miller is too old and has too many miles on those tires to go all out every minute in November. That isn't why he is on the roster. Harris may not be the answer for the whole year, but he could very well be the answer for the next month or so because he is hungry and is going to fight for his playing time.

I'd start him now. I think he's the best fit for our starting lineup for what we have available. He's not your typical rookie. He's older than Kyrie and Dion. He's also a coach's kid. He played for his dad in high school when he was named Mr Basketball in Washington. He then played for the great Tony Bennett. For a rookie he's very mature, very coachable and has a great basketball IQ.

Start Joe, move Shawn to bench so he can come in for Lebron more often.

Even LeBron is a fan. I'm by far the most ecstatic and surprised by him.

I really had no idea about him, but he definitely looks like a really nice rotational player in this league.

He's only going to get better. Great draft pick by the Cavs.

Joe Harris and Delly are solid "glue" guys that the Front Office was able to pluck

I really liked the mismatches we got by starting Marion tonight, even though we lose some spacing that way, so I'm still not completely sure i would prefer Joe starting. that said, the kid has tremendous out there, much, much, MUCH better than I think anyone expected.

Yeah, I think he's ready to start.

Might not happen for a little while, but it should soon.

Griffin was smart to know that on a team with so many playmakers and stars, a guy like Joe Harris had more value at the top of the second round then Cleanthony Early or GRIII. He has a high level role player skill that translates as NBA ready for a contending team from day one.

No way to know who of the three has the best long term career, but Harris can contribute in small but meaningful way to the championship hunt this year and next, whereas the benefits of a GRIII or Early wouldn't be reaped on a team like ours until at least year 3 or 4

Griff wasn't responsible for the pick...just saying.
