So Long Jordan Clarkson ( aka Chucky McJumperson)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Better shooting Derrick Rose?
Cmon now.

Half the board is a better shooter from outside 5 feet than D Rose at this point.:chuckle:

But yes, better shooter than D Rose and Wade from three. Not a sharpshooter though, but respectable enough to have to be accounted for.

yep. perfect sixth man. I watched Jordan a lot in LA and always thought he had a lot in common with a young Lou Williams. Good, not great ball handler, streaky shooter who can get to the rim, good floater, better athlete than you think, and questionable decision maker. Decent defender.

Really good for our team in that he can score when Lebron is on the bench, but doesnt have to play big minutes.

Only possible problem is that the more minutes he gets, the more his shortcomings are come out.

His passing is good. Prob took 2 shots I didn't think he should. A little shot selection and he is gold. Loved his defense. He got after it. Makes up for mistakes with effort.

Think I like the most about all the ne guys was just quick decisive shots or drives. 1-3 seconds and either make a move, shoot, or pass. So little of the slow backing down or iso play that we often got from Wade/IT/Rose.

It fine if LeBron does it sometimes but having multiple guys doing that just Big’s things down. Watching the movement, quickness, and flow today was a thing of beauty

I really liked him. Defensively good, but a gambler. Gave Rozier a hard time. He guarded Kyrie too.

Great job and it looked like he and LeBron had some serious chemistry. This will be cool.

This guy made me not miss Wade at all.

Easy to say now in regular season but in playoffs where games become slower and more iso ball we'll miss wade badly.

Jordan Clarkson isn't a foundational piece for any team in the NBA. He's not even a starter for most teams. If you're below the cap, there's no reason to dedicate any money to a role player like him--because you're better off saving that money for a max player (whose value is always higher than the contract). However, for a team over the cap like us, Clarkson is a great guy to have off the bench. I hate making this comparison because Clarkson's a way better player, but he reminds me of Flip Murray, in terms of what he means to this team. He's a bench scoring punch that we need. He'll be a great second unit PG for the next few years.

JC’s future in the league could probably like that of a Lou Williams or Jamal Crawford, instant offense scoring guards off the bench. But he can also play a little defense too.
