Gordon suspension reduced to 10, 12 if convicted of DWI

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think your name removed from the tv and a shit Tom of money lost will put you in a good position to rethink your decisions

Rice got off easy because he was never convicted of anything.

She tripped, I believe.

If there was stronger evidence you better believe Goodell would come down harder. He knows this stuff embarasses his product and hurts the league's image. Remember, folks, this stuff also reflects on the sponsors of the league and Goodell works to protect the money trails. Just wasn't enough hard evidence to support a criminal case (needed the wife to testify really) and thus hard for the NFL to put anything harder out there. NFL looks even worse if they hand down a long suspension, Rice appeals, and any of it gets overturned by an arbitrator dueo lack of physical evidence. A shame, really.

I don't think anyone is disagreeing that Gordon deserves his suspension. He broke the rules, even if they are stupid.

I think the argument is how hypocritical the NFL is regarding suspensions. Beating your wife? Eh, whatever, take two games off. Smoked some pot? HOW DARE YOU?!? It's just ridiculous. The punishment should fit the crime, and I think we can all agree that domestic violence is worse than weed.
Cannabis is medicine. I'd say it's much better than beating your wife.

The NFL is fucking retarded.

Well... Maybe an attempt to appear reformed. Nevertheless, a good step to take.

even if he appeals it and it gets overturned, the NFL isn't the one taking the PR hit. Thats the point... its not the fact that his suspension is that short, but the fact that this is all the NFL felt was necessary.

So you're saying she just wound up unconscious on her own accord?

We need Gordon's dealer to go the appeal with him ala Rice's wife and plead that it was somehow his fault for attacking Josh with a joint.

The NFL really doesn't give a shit what the public thinks or even use common sense. They do what they want. This whole thing is a sham.

I've been thinking and the whole thing is such a sham and I may just take the year off and evaluate if I give a crap about the game. 2 games for pounding your wife and then that horrible completely un-self aware presser? He sucks anyways but 6-8 games seems way more appropriate. I liked the Steelers a lot more when I didn't live around Steelers fans. All the rule changes for safety I support, but the reviews are so painful. It's like they're making shit up on the fly. Justin Blackmon and Josh Gordon don't need year long suspensions, they need treatment and a babysitter. 2 of the top 4 picks in the 2013 draft start the year suspended for alleged performance enhancing drugs. And my biggest issue us that these guys are literally dying a play at a time in front of our eyes and nobody gives a shit about it.

!!!

Side note. Was walking to lunch downtown yesterday and JG pulled up in his iconic Porsche.

Window was down so I yelled "Sorry to hear the news Josh!" Looked at me and kinda shrugged as if to say "it is what it is".

Definitely not a "I don't give a shit" shrug.

What "news." That he got caught smoking pot again?

!!!

"Sorry to hear you're a major screw up Josh!"

You should of told him that his Porsche will be traded in for a Ford Focus in 3 years on a lease if he doesn't get his mind right.

Damn dude. Just said the first thing that came to mind.

Regardless if he's a screw up, I still got to interact with a star athlete about a pretty controvertial topic. Thought that was pretty cool.
