I feel like if it was all or nothing, it would a been over. There has to be some hard evidence in his favor and possibly a lot of negotiating for a lower punishment.

How long the hearing is has no bearing on what the final verdict will be.
There's no "negotiating" to speak of, really. That Hernandez guy will independently decide what the final punishment will be, if any, and that will be that.

If you're a lawyer/attorney, one of your best skills is nitpicking and finding a way to drag everything out over the most minute details.

Nobody has said anything about who it may be, but it'd be encouraging if he's back at camp.. Would mean he's not banned for the calendar year & the suspension would likely be just a # of games.

Well, it is still interesting... For one, the appeal was supposed to be continued today. Why wouldn't Josh be in NY still? Is his lawyer doing something perfunctory with the NFL during the second part of the appeal? Is a "deal" being made?
