JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I guess at least he wasnt out till 5 AM tangling with San Francisco PD. Why bother though JR?

If true, stupid that he would even bring this up before a final regardless of your opinion on the matter.

This is the fear of too much time between playoff games. Damnit JR.

It was a shitty, ignorant thing to say. My best friend's brother is a "science project", so I'm hugely disappointed in JR. Wish I could say I'm surprised, but I'm sure over half the league feels the same way.

He didn't say it so...

He didn't say it so...

He reposted it with the message "Hmmm... what's more important." Don't get cute with me on this subject.

But trust me, I'll still be rooting for JR in the same way I look forward to new Roman Polanski movies, and the former didn't do anything nearly as heinous as the latter. I can separate the "art" from the "artist". I also understand JR's frustration with a great deed getting ignored (and have my own complicated issues with how the media has covered Caitlyn's coming out), but Snoop's use of "science project" is 100% shitty. At least JR quickly deleted it.

What's frustrating is that, from what I've read about him, JR strikes me as the kind of guy who'd be the first to stand by a friend or family member if they began transitioning. In any event, this was a turd in the punchbowl of an exciting week. A pebble turd, but a turd nonetheless.

He just reposted the picture along with "what's more important?" I guess I don't see it as a huge deal because it wasn't his words, and he was trying to draw more attention to another issue that hasn't gotten the amazing amount of press that Jenner has. i agree that it was not a good choice of words, but he only wrote the caption on the picture. definitely was a stupid move on JR's part, but I don't think it deserves this much attention.

Huge props to JR. While calling the...chick...a science project isn't cool, not just buying into the mainstream media BS about Jenner being SO IMPORTANT AND HEROIC AND GROUNDBREAKING like most athletes would just to improve their brand, is something I can commend him for.

I wish more 'prominent' people would start yelling about how many other important things are happening in the world.

With those ellipses, you just proved why it's important to make this a big story.

And if you read a real newspaper, you won't find Caitlyn Jenner anywhere on the front page (in print or online). Shut out social media, cable news (regardless of your political affiliation) and gossip sites if this truly bothers you. There's plenty of hard news out there.

This is no longer about JR or the Cavs, so this will be my last post on the subject.

The ellipses are to imply that the importance of making the distinction between being called a chick or dude (2 words I was torn between) is ridiculous and shouldn't be an issue.

I'm done too tho, already had 1 Jenner thread closed lol.
