JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
JR plays hard, he'll have a big game eventually. Even though he's been shooting poorly this Finals and he made some dumb fouls last game, the effort is there and he's focused. I'm cool with that.

Basketball Gods will reward him eventually.

Just think it's stupid to put more pressure on Smith's play when besides the three fouls he played an otherwise pretty good game especially on the defensive side. I'm sure there were other plays during the game that were made that weren't great but nobody makes a big deal out of them because they weren't during crunch time and their name isn't JR Smith. He's played his ass off every game and is a NBA Finals rookie, everyone in their first Finals aren't going to see the success that Mozgov and Delly (who shot terribly) have.

It's not just the dumb fouls. He also lost Klay a handful of times last game.

He needs to be smarter.

He had a rough game on the road in the playoffs. And by "rough game," I really mean he had a bad 4th quarter where the magnitude of the stage got to him and he had some bad moments on defense.

From JR's face during the game, you could see he KNEW he messed up. After the game, you could see how happy he was that the team pulled it our and how thankful he was to his teammates (later evidenced in the tweets). It's a REALLY GOOD thing that this team picks each other up like that.

I wouldn't go so far as to guarantee that JR will explode tonight, but I expect he will play a little looser with the knowledge that his teammates are there for him.

I don't think my post puts any more or less pressure on him.

Let's keep it real.

You can state it any way you want. The fact is he hasn't had that impressive game we know he's due for.

It's nothing to get worked up over, we all have the same goal.

He doesn't owe anybody anything. He had a bad game and they still won. What a shitty attitude.

A game he almost cost us twice.

He owe us a big game.

You can pretend those idiotic mistakes weren't huge, but we both know if we would've lost the game, your tone in the situation would be totally different.

PS: You can ignore my post for the future. I don't need someone to tell me how my attitude may seem, because I simply don't care about your opinion of me.

Im sorry but Mr Dellavedova had one of the worst decisions made on an NBA court I have ever seen. Running out of bounds he decides to try and save the ball by throwing it up in the air at the half court line, he should have let it go. Everyone made bad choices. No need to harp on one guy. The team gave up an 11 pt lead.

Let it go? It was off of him, wasn't it?
Yea it was, but he literally threw up a ball that could have been 2 a 2 pt fastbreak. I cant recall if they actually got the ball, but the smart play was to let it go out of bounds.

Why does he owe us anything? We didn't lose the game. Saying he's due for a big game or we need a big game is okay, but saying he owes us something is unacceptable.

"Unacceptable"...lmao.

Thanks for the laugh

I'm fine with the save. I would've been much happier if he just left it behind him a little bit so that the ball would've gone to (I think it was) Thompson. It's a hustle play. I don't have a problem with it.

We're not putting pressure on him. The pressure he feels/doesn't feel is due to the situation, not a bunch of goons on a forum I'd be willing to bet he doesn't read.

My point is just that however we phrase that JR is due for a big game on a damn message board is meaningless. If someone said something like, "I hope JR dies if he has a bad game," or "I hope JR gets a leaky #thepipe," it'd be correctable. But to me, wgaf if people say "he owes us."

It's a figure of speech.

Regardless, I think JR has a big ass game tonight and we'll all be happy about it.

I dont have a huge problem with it, it just could have led to a backbreaking play.

Regardless, this thread is dedicated to Sir Pipe Alot. Hes going to break out this game, and get his flow going.
