JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He didn't clinch his fist.

Question:

A) Did he clench his fist? Yes.
B) Did he intend to hurt someone? Yes.
C) Did he swing hard? Yes.

That's a punch, Mr.Sandusky.
He didn't clench his fist. Before, during, and after the swing, you can see his hand ISN'T clenched. It's certainly not fully open like a slap, but it is far from closed.

He intended, at the very least, to get Crowder off of him. After all, Crowder just committed 3 fouls that the refs ignored.

Yes, he swung hard. You usually do when you're clearing someone out that just shoved you 10 feet. Go watch the play again.

The real question is are you from Beantown or the windy city? Either way you're full of hot air.

JR admitted he made a mistake and stated h needs to be smarter out there. Time to move on from this series. I equate the JR Smith situation with Stephen Jackson's time on the Spurs. You know he's got issues BUT if you can capture the moment and utilize the talent, you've try an do so. Long term? Nope. You get two years out of these kinds of guys at most.

I don't care about what intentions he may or may not have had or if it was a closed fist or not - just by looking at past scenarios, this should be a 1 game suspension - period.

Gotta love that he won't read malicious intent on Olynyk, but he has no problem thinking that JR is a hellspawn thug that needs to be locked up. Methinks a bit of bias might be in play.

Marc Stein, ESPN.com: Fiction. Olynyk has no history of such behavior, and NBA players get tied up in this manner all the time. The video doesn't look great, obviously, but who can step into Olynyk's head and conclusively say it was intentional? Not me.

Stein is feces.

Sad state of the NBA is that JR should have just flopped on one of the three earlier fouls and the refs would have had to blow the whistle like they did for Lebron back in game 2.

Watching with some real homer vision.

I wonder, did Kendrick Perkin's intend to "get Crowder off of him" with that full two handed shove? It was pretty 'bush league' the way the Cavs targeted Crowder yesterday. I really hate seeing my team stoop to those tactics. Maybe you're okay with our players making themselves, us, and the city look bad on live TV but I'm not.

Oh and Crowder wasn't putting anything hard on him at all. But keep with the homer vision.

That was one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen. It was embarrassing how bad it was. Every official from that game should be fired.

I am still scratching my head over one of the last plays of the game. When a Celtic player tries to bear hug LeBron while he inbounds the ball, and throws it to Thomas. Thomas shoots, with clearly NO ONE in sight of him, and gets a foul called.

I don't believe in conspiracy theories, either the officials were literally that stupid, or you wonder if someone had money on the spread.

That's was the most bizarre sequence I've ever seen.

Good to know i wasn't the only one who had NO IDEA why a foul was called on that play. I saw absolutely no contact to justify a foul on the shot by Thomas. I thought I must be living in a parallel universe.

Yeah, you too. So, again, which team are you a fan of? I'd put money on the Bulls or the Celtics being the answer to that question.

Perkins should have been ejected. The screen was terrible, definitely flagrant 1 material. And the point/punch combo should have earned him an ejection.

Crowder knocked him forward 6 feet with a forearm to the upper back/lower neck before JR cleared out. Seriously, go watch it again, you've got some serious homer vision on, yourself.

I don't wish injuries on people very often. Just now and again. I'm not a bad guy.
Yes you are

Wishing physical pain and risking of someone's livelihood you've never even met in person
