Griffin has already found his targets and got a feeling for their cost. Tpe has him on clock to make a trade this season. Nowadays being slightly under the cap is a massive advantage in making some kind of deals work. Philly helping us as they help themselves again

If Philly 2nd rounder is not protected it'll be around 40s and it's not bad
Also obviously we won't be able to trade Bogans for Mozzy :\ but that 5.3 trade exeption can be used very well. We won't have to pay him 5m too and it's make us under the luxury which may helps us to avoid repeater tax and it's good too.

Remember when people thought we were going to be capped strapped like the Heat? Well, Griffin is making sure we aren't.

Advantages: It gives us more flexibility this year. We get our roster down to 15.

Disadvantages: We lose the combined value of Haywood and Bogans.

What it means: The Cavs probably feel Bogans couldn't help as a player and wasn't worth keeping on the roster just for the Haywood combined value.

It might also mean that the Cavs are paving the way for Allen to join. Having Bogans and Allen probably doesn't make much sense to fill out the roster. How many old wings does one team need?

It might also mean that the Cavs feel that they can get something done somewhat soon on the C front.
