He's been the only guy who has looked like a "Big 3" player so far this season. Really didn't think that was possible when Lebron re-signed and Irving's World championship. Can't wait till we actually figure out how to use him better

Yup he has been a stud. My only problem with him has been a tendency I continue to see where when guys are posting up against him or going down the lane, he is flat footed and doesn't even put a hand up to contest.

Hopefully they can coach him up to at least get his hands up and make guys score over the top / against verticality.

Outside of that he has been pretty much flawless.

Every time I watch Klove I get a semi chub. He is quickly becoming one of my favorite players. Heady, sneaky, skillful... He is just awesome.

Tristan took 12 shots in 22 minutes and Love took 14 in 36 minutes. They should not be that close. Also Love had 12 more points than TT. Gotta get this guy the ball more.

That's a misnomer. TT had 5 offensive rebounds last night, and around 4 of those resulted in putbacks. He should be taking those shots, and was just hitting a ton of them in Chicago a few days earlier.

Also, at least a third of Thompson's shot attempts came when he was on the floor without James, Love or Irving. No reason why he shouldn't be allowed to shoot in those scenarios.

So yeah, Love should get more shots, but it's not because Thompson is stealing them.

Oh no I didn't mean to imply he was stealing them. Just that TT should be taking less (or smarter) shots. I love the putbacks, that what he should be doing. And the transition dunk, all of that was great. It's the shots where he gets the ball at the elbow and doesn't consider passing, just barrels into the lane and takes a contested hook/floater or whatever the hell that shot is considered.

I don't mind TT putting up that volume of shots, I would just prefer that they be more of the putback/dunk variety and less of the drives to the basket. He only took a few of those but it was enough to realize that's a pretty inefficient shot for him.

The putbacks are fine. The 8 other shots are not. But I'm not going to trash him about it yet because everyone is taking bad shots because they have no idea what they are doing on offense yet.

Lol at the empty stats crap people were saying about him in Minny. His shot could be completely off and he still impacts the game in so many ways.

We were the ones telling you how good he was. Ive been watching your games and he seems to be the most consistent part of the unit. Tristan is playing lights out. Your bench looks suspect and a trade a deadline seems probable. Should be fun to watch the team find their way.

I know there's plenty of discussion about him slacking off his man on D to prepare for the rebound, but watching him closer now, it happens all the time. Is there any analytical article out there on this strategy? Does it pay off in the long-run? I know he's a smart guy, and Lebron likes him, so I doubt it's stupid or self-serving.

Less foul risk? Less wear-and-tear? Is this a strategy that only works to have one player, or certain positions follow? Unique to him because getting an easy rebound sets up the outlet that others can't handle as skillfully?

Or is it just lazy?

Just strange to see him back off his guy at times when they're close to the basket.

Part of it is definitely a habit formed in Minny to keep him on the floor.

I can't say anything further than that because I'm simply not sure.

One thing I noticed is that he never had a hand up on Aldridge. He needs to keep his hand in the face of opposing PFs with a good faceup game.
