This is so ridiculous that you would make Skip Bayless proud...

Kevin Love has been by far our most well-rounded player to start the season. He creates a ton of opportunities, is always in the right place, and is generally extremely conducive to winning basketball. You can't possibly be watching the games.

I've watched 3 of the Sota games Wiggins likely will never be as good as K love. He looks really really raw right now. He isn't even in the same stratosphere of what Love brings to the table right now.

I knew that post would come from someone the second Wiggins had a good game. Problem is, Love has pretty much been as advertised for us, so like, who gives a fuck?

Considering the amount of flak Kyrie got for his selfish performance last night I'm surprised I haven't seen a single negative thing mentioned about Kevin Love's defense. It was just one game, but Derrick Favors fucking destroyed him. That shouldn't be enough to make anyone regret trading for him, but I was sure we'd at least be seeing Gour gloat about being right about Love as a defender.

He's been competent in the team's scheme, generally moving with the ball and keeping a good stance, but his lack of length for a big has been exploited when he's isoed in the post. He struggled to deter Favors away from the rim when the Jazz went at him, and Pau Gasol was able to create high-percentage shots on him as well.

Until we get a center that can help cover him on the block teams are going to attack him down there, which also runs the risk of putting Love into foul trouble. In the last 2 games he's had 4 personal fouls in each, a number he only reached 7 times in 77 games last year.

Jazz announcer said in the 4th quarter when lebron and klove did a pick n roll: "there isn't really a way to defend that"

In spite of our utter incompetence at executing sets and moving the ball, we'll be fine once guys who inspire that much fear on the defensive end sort themselves out. Through it all, we could have win last night and a terrific shot changes the whole narrative

He needs to start hitting his open 3's. We'd have blown out the Nuggest by 20-30 if our guys hit their open shots.

That being said they finally ran that Lebron/Love pick and roll to end the game and man that was money. Just as sweet as we thought it could be

All of our guys percentages are a little shaky right now as guys get used to the spots they are going to get their shots and get acclimated with the system.

Good that Love is getting those open looks because over time, you have to think he'll start drilling those.

Love is great at getting good position and forcing defenders to foul him.

8 ft attempts made 7

Love hasn't looked too good yet back to the basket. I think he is most threatening from the post but facing his man, where he can go to the rack, pass, or ball the jump shot. Much bigger or stronger post defenders seem to give him an issue back to the basket in my purely anecdotal opinion. We saw it against a couple teams with good post d like Chicago

Cant really ask much more from him given that he is defensively challenged. He gives his all every time I have seen him play maybe just sometimes the effort is lacking on the defensive end, but that is not really his role to stop people. He just missed some 3s he usually makes in his sleep. He posts well and should definitely be given more of the ball on the post. Dude would average 20 rebs per game if he was taller.

My favorite line of the night was when Mark Jackson said that Love posting up Gee isnt a match up that we will win.

Gee is a combo forward and a better defender than we remember. I was thinking there were bigger mismatches to take advantage of than Gee/Love. Might have been a good time to run a 2 man game with Lebron/Kyrie and post up Lebron. Not sure if Kyrie is capable yet, but could have gained experience.

Basically, I didn't 100% disagree with Jackson.

My favorite line of the night was when Mark Jackson said that Love posting up Gee isnt a match up that we will win.

I'm not one to defend Jackson but I don't think thats not entirely what he meant. The Nuggets were switching all picks (which is laughable in today's NBA). That means you can have any one of their defenders on any one of your players any time you want it. So LeBron or Kyrie out top with Nurkic guarding them is more advantageous. Which is true. And LeBron took him to the rack a few times.

Gee is stronger than I remember and was doing a good job holding his ground against Love. If they did want to post Love they should have just had Love and Kyrie in the PnR and had Kyrie's man on Love in the post and Nurkic on Kyrie.

Love destroyed Chandler and the smaller Denver guys in the post. If you don't have length he's tough to defend because he's so strong and can shoot over the top of you. His shooting percentage was low because he missed a ton of wide open 3's but downlow he was doing very well. Re-run that play 10 times and all 10 times I'd go back to Love against Gee in the post

Plus if Denver rotates, he's such a good passer. His assist number don't reflect the hockey assists and FT's his passing creates.
