Nothing has changed in regards to Love & LeBron. LeBron will finish his career here. Love was always going to opt out in the off-season, then re-sign. He'll be here at least as long as LeBron is.

Besides that, Love wants to win. Why would he leave a perennial contender to go to a Laker team that is looking like straight garbage right now?
They don't even qualify as hot garbage?

I think these fears will be extinguished once the Cavs start playing winning basketball. The team looked great in the second half tonight. We see more halves like that and people will stop worrying about Love bolting at the end of the year.

I like how Lakers fans still think the "big market" thing plays. :chuckle:

LeBron, Love, and Irving play in Cleveland, Westbrook and Durant in Oklahoma City, Davis in New Orleans, Curry in Golden State, and even Aldridge/Lillard in Portland.

What plays is winning and they have none of it. Two of the worst franchises in the NBA right now come from the two biggest cities and I love it.

Enjoy your 36 year-old Kobe and tell last place we said hello, Laker fans!

the article written in November is a joke, it is going to be horrible towards end of the season. The media will make a huge deal about it. I highly doubt Kevin Love is even thinking about the off season right now.

God that just made me laugh.. Love is leaving LeBron to join the 15 win LA Lakers .. nice

Hey people were probably saying the same thing last year about LeBron rejoining the Cavs, anything could happen. If Love were to leave the Cavs and Wiggins turns out to be a stud you might as well delete this forum.

Just looking at LA's finances in 2015, they have 25 million owed to Kobe, 5+ to Nick Young, 5+ to Randle / Kelly and a 9 million option on Hill that, given their front court, they most definitely will have to pick up. That already puts them at 45 million for that pile of junk.

If you're operating under the assumption of an 80 million dollar salary cap, you pretty much end up with the above, Love at the max and filler.

Is Love really going to cash in his prime playing with a 36 year old Kobe and a bunch of average pieces? Seems pretty far fetched to me.

He's confusing on defense. Liked tonight, he actually played Davis extremely well in one on one post defense. He's quick on his feet and he's strong enough to keep guys like Davis from backing him down. This makes up for his lack of length.

On the other hand he just doesn't do any sort of rim protection at all and didn't close out Anderson enough at the line.

People make a big deal about how LeBron is the key to keeping Love (which he is), but Kevin and Kyrie have a great relationship. They seem to be best friends, on and off the court. Hence the Brazil rap video :chuckle:, the handshake, and they always seem to be messing around and laughing with each other. Now tell me again, do you really think K Love will leave his good friend (and NBA all-star) Kyrie and LeBron to join that shit hole in LA?

Agreed I was shocked to see him play such good Man D on Davis.

Love would be perfect defensively paired with a shot blocker. Similar to Dirk, his weaknesses would be hidden and his strengths as a rebounder magnified.

Problem is everyone else in the league knows that too... Gonna be hard for Griff to find a trade partner.

Great to see kev have a great shooting night.
Yes he had a very good night and did what he was paid to do. Make teams pay when they go 3 on 1 v LeBron. I'm still disappointed with him. I hope he didnt inhale.

I think it's been a big adjustment for him going from wolves star to here.hopefully he keeps improving.

Curry in Golden State.
The SF Bay area is the 5th largest metropolitan area in the US. They're not exactly a "small market" team (they're larger than almost all NBA cities).
