I think they don't trust Love down low nowadays... he has become primarily an outside shooting big unlike his Minnesota days where he was really good inside-out... must be that injuries has taken some of his athletic abilities that make him efficient inside player...

I hope I am wrong, really like KLove but am afraid if things doesn't start clicking soon... the Cavs would start looking into trading him again...

Just a hypothetical... if the Cavs still fails to integrate Love as the legit 2nd option on the team... are you going to be open on a trade deadline deal centered on Love and Boogie?

Hard pass.

If Kyrie's dad doesn't think Kyrie wants to be on the court with a "big slow white guy" like Porzingas, I have to wonder WTF Kyrie really thought about playing with Love?

Despite an ugly loss, Love is really looking good tonight. Active on the boards. Getting many looks on offense.

Uggh. We need a lot more from Kev, man.

He can't play like a glorified role-player. He is supposed to be an All-Star but his performance this season has been far from impressive except the Bucks game. He was supposed to take the reigns from Kyrie as our second best player and be dominant. But he has been quite inconsistent. Even in the Bulls game, he ended up having good stats but Markannen, a rookie, outplayed him. Can't have that at all.

I love Kev. He seems like a great dude and is a good player but if he can't be someone who can have positive impact on the game consistently, then we have to think of parting ways with him. It sucks but that what it is. I mean, as it is, he isn't exactly the perfect match-up against the Warriors either. If he can't be super dominant in the regular season, then there's no point really keeping him as a glorified role-player.

I was at the game last night. This dude is weak and cannot post up anyone anymore. Way too many turnovers. If he's not taking wide open shots or putting it back from an offensive rebound, it's a wasted possession.

This.

We need someone who can dominate the painted area which he hasn’t been able to do since he got here, I mean he couldn’t even take advantage of Klay Thompson in the post during a game in the finals FFS. He’s not a mismatch in the post for anyone on the Warriors but he’s also not a deadeye shooter from 3. He’s a good passer but we don’t utilize that skill set on this team. I don’t care what the numbers say he’s a below average defender (slow feet, too short). Only thing he really excels at on this team is rebounds at this point.

If we can trade him for something that fits better, we should think about it. Lebron has to carry us on offense, and once we get IT back, Ideally we need to find guys that can carry the defense. At this point in lebrons career he shouldn’t have to do so much on both sides of the floor. For what Love is getting paid, he doesn’t impact the game enough on either side of the ball.

But but he gets double doubles and that absolves him all of his sins..

He definitely struggled on that back to back, some poor decision making on the defensive end, silly turnovers. Also seems to be a little off with his shot, leaving it short quite often, including a key FT last night. Not sure if the stats back it up but on the positive side it feels like he is finishing better at the rim so far this year.

It is a little odd that he is taking fewer shots this year as the nominal 2nd option than he was last time around as the 3rd.

His rebounding alone consistently gives the cavs high impact. In fact, over the last three seasons he has consistently been our second biggest impact guy. This early stretch has been bad shooting wise, but he's getting to the line a lot and making his throws while rebounding the piss out of the ball.

I don't think offense is a concern with Love. He's been passing and crashing the offensive glass really well. His shot is just off. And he's getting pretty good looks so that will turn around soon.

His defense has been pretty poor though. He isn't going to be a rim protector ever. That being said he has proven that he can hold his own when he plays with effort.

I still doubt his ability to play against the Warriors. He's not dynamic enough of a post player to really punish mismatches off switches. And the Cavs will have to compensate for his deficiencies as a defender by trapping pick and rolls he is involved in. I genuinely feel bad for the guy. He's a huge positive against every team but struggles to make an All Star caliber impact against the one team the Cavs need to beat.

Will the experiment of him starting at 5 be quietly ushered aside?
