Such misleading numbers. This is Kevin Love we're talking about, not Ryan Anderson.

He's not playing like a star at all right now. That's just being realistic, not critical.

No, they aren't misleading. They are exactly what they are. He's averaged 17 and 10 on the season as well. Yes his shot has been very inconsistent this season but his defense has taken a complete turn, his floor spacing is huge for the team even when shooting poorly, and his rebounding numbers are all still there and all of the is happening when he has been deferred to as the 3rd option on the team when he had normally been #1. We are aren't even through 3/4 of one year with all of these adjustments and some people are already writing him off. Frankly it pisses me off. Give me a list of comparable PFs this season averaging the same numbers and tell me if they are all role players as well. If not, shut up and stop being over critical so quickly. The non-stop hating on Love one game and then the amazement after a good game and flip flopping is getting old on here. Kevin Love is very important now and in the future on this team.

I don't know what hating you're suggesting. Do you seriously think he played like a star tonight? If you do, then you just have extremely low expectations of what a star is compared to what I think.

It's pissing you off because you know its true, but have to go on a tirade rant to make excuses for him.

I got nothing against Kevin, I like him. But unless you're being really bias, no, he's not playing like an all-star at all right now. All-stars step up, and put the team on their back. He didn't do that at all tonight. He's struggling a lot this year. Horrible year overall? Of course not.

But playing like a star? That's being very generous.

If you think Delly played bad then Love played bad too and he's supposed to be a superstar. I'm sick of all the excuses for him. We know he's contributing and impacting this team, but so is Iman Shumpert, so is J.R. Smith, so is Mozgov…Kevin Love is supposed to be more than a great role player.

The third option of the team and you average 17 and 10 being a role player is a joke to me.

Yes he looked bad tonight and that was without LeBron and Kyrie. The team has looked worse when Love isn't there as well.

So funny, but this exact post can be made and slightly tweaked to be about Chris Bosh during the Heat's runs the last 4 years.

Love can shoot better, but this is for the most part what he will be when he he is a third fiddle on the team. Time to deal with it.

He was 6 for 19 and 1 for 7 on threes. How can you even try to spin this any other way? He is supposed to be a stretch PF and yet he's not hitting wide open looks. Stop with the bullshit excuses. We didn't trade a potential superstar like Wiggins, Bennett, and the Miami Pick expecting to get Ryan Andersen 2.0. We traded for fucking Kevin Love the SUPERSTAR.

I said he shot poorly, right?

I dont get the Ryan Anderson comparison, do you all do that because they are both white? Did any of you watch Bosh in year 1 with the Heat? Before the injury did Bosh look like a role player this year? When an offense is tailored around you it's different. A game here or there where you are supposed to be the guy isnt so easy to just pick up where you left off. If everyone on here expected Love to come in and put up identical numbers to what he did in Minny you were dreaming and were setting yourselves up for a letdown.

So he didn't shoot well tonight...what do you want people to say?

It's so funny that I always see white players compared to white players. I think people do it subconsciously. Like, usually the comparisons are not even valid...at all...

This has nothing to do with how many points he has, or what option he is on the team. It has more to do with "hey does Kevin look like Kevin Love?" If fans want to lie and say yes, or not really care because we are winning, and that's all that's really important, I don't care.

But I notice the strong need for fans to defend him so much, suggests the obvious answer is no, he's not exactly looking like Kevin Love.

I don't care that much, I was just answering what gouri pointed. This isn't me throwing a hissy fit over how he played.

I had no real expectations of us winning tonight without our two best players, and Delly starting.

I'd say for the most part, he hasn't looked as good as he did in Minny...but again, he has gone from first to third fiddle. This is shades of Chris Bosh syndrome all over it. It took Bosh a while to figure out shit on that Miami team, but even still he contributed in the meantime. And he was an extremely valuable piece to that team.

I repeat: Love can shoot better. Hopefully, that's coming. But otherwise, 17/10 looks par for the course.

Fans tend do defend him because he gets hammered and its really not fair. They expect superstar numbers and he's third fiddle on this team. Everyone admits his shooting percentages are down and that's concerning but everyone knows Kevin Love can shoot, he's done it his whole career up to this season. It's hard to go from being the third, sometimes fourth, sometimes fifth option on a team and running the offense that way to becoming the number one option over night. Give it more time than 65% of a season.
