KJ McDaniels?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Man, it was soul crushing when he slipped so far and then the Sixers snapped him up right in front of us. I was advocating for either him or Kyle Anderson at #9, and somehow both of them nearly slipped to #33 :chuckle:

Maybe we can offer the Sixers two future seconds for him?

Do we even have two future seconds left to offer? :chuckle:

Even if we did, I doubt they'd trade him for two picks that will likely fall in the mid 50's.

I was talking up McDaniels trades when his mom was on twitter bashing the Philly franchise, but it seems the Andre Drummond-esque minutes limitations have passed. Brown is now playing him, imperfect moments and all, and the trade demands are going to become inflated for a little while. When the reality of McDaniels trying to leave come to pass, maybe the Cavaliers will have a better shot.

Ballsy move to do the one year deal..

So far so good kid, just stay healthy.

I forgot my chuckles sarcasm notifier. :p

They tried to sign him to a multi year deal and he refused. That is why there might be some hope in pulling off a trade if they feel he doesn't want to be there. It will be interesting to watch him going into free agency though.

Thanks, that explains a lot. I guess I missed that, and was too lazy to research it.

Max's nugget gives me some more confidence in Griffin and his staff and their ability to identify players in the late first round. When I heard they had Joe Harris rated as a late first round talent, I thought that likely meant they had him rated over McDaniels.

There has been discussion of whether Waiters might end up going home and playing for Philly, and some speculated last year they might be interested. I was never convinced of this. Maybe it does make some sense in that Philly doesn't care about winning anyway, and so they might think there is little risk in taking a chance on Dion and go with an all-Syracuse backcourt. McDaniels plus Shved is the obvious trade.

With Wroten and MCW, Dion would have two other guys to compete with for the ball again...but shittier.
