Klay Thompson suffers concussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He was bleeding from his ear and were about to check him into the game...

This was after Doris Burke reported that the training staff did not feel the need to put him through concussion protocol.

I haven't heard or read a single criticism of this. They botched the tits out of the situation.

But yeah, playing a guy with knee tendinitis is a crime.

I didn't know that they were going to check him back. Yeah, that looks bad for sure. I am sure they are going to get blasted then.

Would they really be that stupid to say it was an ear laceration? This is one of their best player's health they are effing with.

Golden State botches concussion protocol. Media reaction:
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If Cavs had botched concussion protocol:
Fire Blatt
Fire the training staff
Unprofessional pricks
*rabblerabblerabble* Delly did it!

I almost rated this "winner" and only didn't because you limited it to media.

People on this site will go out of their way to find a way to blame the Cavs, Dan Gilbert or another easy front office target for certain things. IIRC, the Cavs are to blame for Dion's lack of development as well...

It very well may have been a laceration but that only further validates the point: He was hit in the head so hard that it ruptured the inner lining of his ear.

Any sane person would step back and say let's maybe get this guy checked out.

If he's not 100% symptom free from the concussion, then he won't be cleared. So he has to be 100%.

Curry's injury was different because he showed no symptoms after the fall or after the game. Thompson apparently did.

Doesn't matter to me though because I want Golden State at full strength.
Man, screw this wanting them at full strength. If they all got the stomach flu from hell and missed every game, I'd take the damn trophy and never look back.

Been too damn long to get picky about it.

SBNation posted this and I don't know if it was because of the crowd noise or Klay really couldn't hear in that same ear...

Fuck that.

I don't want to listen to any of these media babies have an "out" when the Cavs beat Golden State.

You really want to listen to someone like Bayless get on his stump and talk about how the Cavs would have lost to the Warriors if "X" player wouldn't have gotten hurt?

I want them to line up all their guys and have us beat them. So all the idiots like Skip can STFU for the rest of their lives.

I'm past this "give me a title no matter how we get it" stuff. Give me a title that I can shove up the media's ass.

Your first mistake is listening to Skip Bayless, ever. I'll take a title any damn way I can get it.

I personally would not care. Id rather take a title then worry about what Skip @#$@ing Bayless has to say. In 20 years, all that would be remembered is that CLEVELAND WON A CHAMPIONSHIP.

You'd really rather risk not winning a championship because the media babies have an out? I obviously don't want to see a rash of injuries, but if Klay is actually hurt, he needs to sit for the sake of his health and I for one will not worry about what the talking heads say.

It's true, Oh, it's true. The Hot Takes would be Nuclear.

I agree but my goodness how it might feel after the "the East is so weak/pathetic", "something needs to be done about the East" talk.

Let someone else do something about that "The East is weak" talk, and gimme a 'ship before I die.

Too many Drives, Fumbles, Shots, Decisions, broken feet, and Jose Mesas for me to get picky.

I said it after the Curry injury, but there's going to be some fines handed out in the Bay Area.

Just wait til you find out that Curry did suffer a concussion and they purposely hid the fact so they could keep playing him.

It'll come out sometime before the beginning of next season, but it'll barely be mentioned in the media.

Glad they couldn't hide the Klay Thompson one.
