Hmm. This really isn't that convincing: just like Arenas, Rose also got hurt again as well. Once the knee goes the chance of re-injury goes up.
Arenas's PER went from 24 down to 18 as he was entering his prime and never got back to a superstar level. Rose also had a PER in the nearly the exact same range as Arenas and the next year in the few games he played his PER was miserable. I'm not denying that mental makeup makes a difference here but the simplest explanation here is that he's gotten two injuries in the same knee and basketball players just don't recover well from knee injuries

Weren't Rose's injuries to different knees?

Honestly when I got the Team USA Bball text from the app that said Kyrie was injured and left the game, I almost shit myself

They can get away with it because of pure talent, but it doesn't really mean they should. The FIBA announcers were talking about it all game today...you can get away with doing a lot of one on one against teams like Finland and New Zealand, but it doesn't help you against teams like Spain or even Lithuania and Slovenia (I think those are the teams they mentioned). Imo Rose is playing more of the team ball that helps the team play better as a whole while Kyrie is doing a lot of the one on one stuff. So Kyrie looks to be the better player, but yet the team is doing better with Rose on the court which was what my original thought was.

I could be wrong, but from what I've seen that's just what I think to be the case.

lol he said "So Kyrie LOOKS to be the better player but yet the team does better with Rose on the court."

Umm cause he is better you fool.

how does shooting 2/9 from the floor, getting one assist and being a revolving door on defense fit into the idea of efficient team basketball? Rose has been absolute dick the entire tournament, same with curry though much more sporadically. they both get tunnel vision in the transition game and forget to look for open shooters constantly, Kyrie has been the only guard that helped keep the ball moving and try to stop the offense stagnating.

I am glad Kyrie is the youngest of the big 3, because my guess is that his size and style of play will cause him to have the shortest career. Dont get me wrong, i think he can play another 10 years, but so can Lebron and he is 7 years older.

Bulls fans live in another reality. Even if Rose would just sit on the court drinking coffee and doing absolutely nothing he would still help the team more in their eyes.
But again: Whatever makes them sleep at night. It just shows that they are scared of Kyrie and his dominant play at the World Cup.

Hopefully from Irving's tweet he's okay and doens't miss more than 1-2 games. Maybe none. Just a hard fall that hurt like a son a bitch I guess.

I see Kyrie having a Steve Nash like career. His peak will be in 3-4 years, followed by another 3-4 years of good play, and then a steep decline once he hits 30 or so.

I don't know... his skills such as ballhandling, shooting and passing will most likely increase throughout his career so long as his prepared to adjust and work on them. sure, his speed and penetration skill will decline but it shouldn't limit him as far as being an incredibly effective player.
