Can't wait to watch Kyrie shine this season. If he hasn't "broken out" in the consensus eye of NBA fans and critics, this will be the season he ascends to one of the truly elite.

Barring injuries, I'm legitimately expecting Kyrie to lead the scoring for us this season. This, of course, hedges on how badly LeBron wants another MVP this season. But if he's happy to take a back seat and to take it easy until May/June, Kyrie is going to lead our offense this season.

I don't think enough has been said about Kyrie's Finals performance (because of the spectacle that was LeBron James) in the national media. I just can't wait for him to explode and to carry that NBA Finals energy into his best regular season to date.

fwiw, just as everyone (including Kyrie) has come around to the realization that he's a shooting guard or "attack guard" (or whatever they want to call it), and he gets comfortable in that role, I'm still expecting he'll continue to expand his game as a passer.

It's not just about raw assist numbers, but the type of assists ... like the lobs he tossed to James and TT in the playoffs are a sign to me he's becoming more aware of his teammates. He just took a while longer than Delly to see the opportunities.
 
I proposed to my girlfriend this week while wearing my Kyrie throwback..she said yes! (This counts as Kyrie news right?? :chuckle:)

This was in the Dominican Republic btw, when I went to get towels the dude working the booth barely spoke English but he pointed to me and said "Kryie Irving!" And then did a shooting motion... It's really nice having Mr 4th Quarter being an international icon!

Also a small boy from Brazil, maybe 5 years old came up to me holding his dads LeBron jersey and dapped me up :biggrinthumb:

Man what a week! Congratulations on all accounts.
 
Still overseas but all I needed to see was the extended highlights package this morning to confirm how polished and how refined his game is looking.

Kid looks like a vet out there, mesmerizing his way not only to the hoop but for that money mid-range jumper. Everything looks so fluid and he appears to be dictating the game at his own pace with such ease.

Legitimately so excited to watch what he does this season in what we can only hope will be 82 healthy games.

KI has figured out that his mid-range jumper counts just as much as his Uncle Drew "Rim Jobs" :rolleyes:. With less wear and tear to his body.
