For me the problem with trading Kyrie with this current makeup is that we need to be consolidating talent to the top of the roster to be on the court as much as possible- not spreading it out more 1-15.

Even thought is was a down year for the Draft the previous season we did not really have a lot of room in the rotation for the #1, #19 and #33 picks. As of right now we'll be adding another #1 and #33 to the mix also.

I don't see getting back 1:1 talent for Kyrie which means we are spreading things out even further and keeping more talent/assets off the court.

However if he's not going to re-sign or you have reasons to think he is a problem then your decision is already made for you and you go from there.

irving and bennett for hill and west

think about it.. the cavs get veteran leadership in west and a point guard. waiters will be the primary initiator and hill can just shoot 3pointers.

pacers get their much needed scoring from kyrie and a floor spacer in bennett.

another trade would be kyrie for rondo straight up.

cavs:
rondo
waiters
?
TT
?

celts:
kyrie
bradley
green
sullinger
vonleh?

kyrie irving and 1st pick for kevin love and corey brewer

or

kyrie for rubio straight up. cavs get a young pass first point guard that can initiate the offense and can defend.

How does Kyrie to the Knicks for Hardaway Jr., and two top three protected, picks sound?

kyrie for trey burke and enes kanter. burke is the next damian lillard and kanter is a defensive presence. draft wiggins. dynasty!

burke
waiters
wiggins
TT/AB
kanter

naaahh.. kyrie caused the firing of 2 coaches already in his short 3 year career. trade this cancer to the highest bidder..

i'd rather trade kyrie and build around our budding superstar dion waiters. he's the next dwade and has grown immensely as a basketball player.. you can see it in the stats! trust me! trade the and-one streetballer wanna be!

john wall is the better athlete than kyrie thus he has a higher ceiling.. i wouldnt mind a wall-waiter backcourt with wiggins at the 3. defense and speed!

but Kanter has proven himself as a great starter in the NBA.

92.3 the fan, was reporting today the Lakers have expressed interest in trading for Kyrie. I don't know what they can offer, but that was the story.

I saw Kobe in town the other day, said hi, he was friendly. Not saying he is here for the lakers but he is in town.

The Lakers fans are already photo shopping Kyrie into a Lakers jersey next to Kobe and are acting like the already have him. It annoys the hell out of me. Well at least we know they always want what we have... First it was LeBron, now Kyrie.

And about Kobe being in town for some reason... Kyrie is not in town, he is at Duke for a Coach K camp. So no relation between the two.

IF we are going with Wiggins and we are planning on keeping Tristan.... maybe bringing in Nash would be seen as a positive to become some sort of bastard Team Canada South?

Some weird Deng sign & trade with Kyrie for a Gasol sign& trade with Nash + a crapload of picks? Maybe we think they are stupid and Deng and Kobe are too broken down so they will suck and the multiple 1sts (in addition to #7 this year) down the line will be high? (I don't even know if any of this is even possible within the rules or if they have the picks even availabe.)

If the story has any merit that's all I can put together off the top of my head. Seems pretty far off, the Lakers are pretty fucked.

Trade Kyrie for 34 year old Pau and "I'm only still playing for the money" Nash, who happens to be the oldest player in the NBA?

Sign me up

The only trade I see with the Lakers is Deng for Pau

lol its funny, i read their kyrie thread over at lakersground.. its asking if they should trade their pick for rondo or kyrie.

i was AMAZED at how many of their fans do not want to trade their pick for kyrie

kind of funny kyrie's attitude, effort and defense have laker fans preferring a 7th pick to him

Laker fans think they can get Kyrie in Free Agency soon enough so putting a pick up for him would be a waste of assets if the FO is patient at all.

Go home Lakers, you're drunk.

Same with you, Pinoy

Yuck! Aside from their pick, nothing the Lakers have interests me. Here's some deals that would interest me:

1) OKC- Russell Westbrook (with loss to the Spurs, the Thunder might be primed for a big move)
2) Phoenix- Eric Bledsoe & picks
3) Orlando- #4 pick & Tobias Harris
4) Utah- #5 pick & Trey Burke
5) Minnesota- Ricky Rubio & picks
6) Sacramento- (with Thompson) for Cousins & McLemore or #8 pick

Before the lottery results I can picture the sort of conversations those turds were having

Irving
Kobe
Jabari
Love
Pau (stays for the vet min)

or

Irving
Kobe
Wiggins
Love
Pau

Which one should we pick guise?
