With a huge talent like Kyrie, the key question is whether they'll make the sacrifices needed to go from great one-on-one talent to playing winning basketball. We didn't know until this year if Kyrie would hit that point; at least I never saw it. It's difficult to discern, especially from the outside looking in, whether a player gets there. Guess the main lesson is to not unload a guy you think has the mental makeup (a chance) to get there until you're sure they are just not going to change. Kyrie was too young to give up on and, while selfish in the past, he was never a knucklehead.
