The guy still averaged 5 assists this year, on the same team as LeBron, and basically being the backup point guard, meaning running the offense when LB is on the bench. That's pretty good.

Yes, it's pretty good, but for reference Wade has averaged 5 apg on a team where James was the primary playmaker and their starting PG averaged 3.5 apg and their backup PG averaged 2.1 apg.

Is Wade a PG?

Didn't he often play it to start his career? Whether Irving is one, or not, doesn't matter, he's a hell of a player.

Wade is a combo guard just like Irving rose and Lillard.

It's abit like asking is Tim Duncan a power forward or center? I don't know but he plays power forward, so he's a power forward. Wade plays PG, Wade is a PG.

Just an observation... I realize this Wizards game is meaningless, but too often the team plays w/no defensive energy when Lebron is sitting out a game. This is not like the 2005-2010 teams that were a bunch of role players after Lebron. It has two players who are often the best on the floor even w/Lebron out as well as some quality starters, but you'd hardly know it. The bench is a little thin with the age, AV injury, and wasted Haywood spot, but the starters are too often the ones getting stomped. They seem to only get energized if Lebron is there energizing them. I think intensity and energy, not talent, is the main problem.

KI is going to have to develop the ability to set the tone for the team if he's going to take Lebron's mantle in a few years and lead the team.

Wade is a combo guard, and, as a shooting guard, is top 5 all time if not better. Nearly all great shooting guards racked up PG level assists. Yes, Kyrie keeping up with Wade as a secondary ball handler is impressive.

And no, a rich man's boobie Gibson is not a top 5 PG. Not even close, but that's exactly why it's laughable that you called him that. Just as it is laughable that you keep on denying it.

That Spurs game and even the Blazers game is enough evidence. Two tough opponents, big shots everywhere. He is clutch. He just has to learn how to be a leader of men, which you don't expect from 22 year olds. LeBron will teach him, groom him to be a leader over time. It's going to be a beautiful thing.

Not really, because Duncan can play either position at a high-level.

James and Wade are not typically mentioned in PG discussions because generating assists from other positions on the floor is not uncommon.

There's a lot more to being a PG than having the ability to draw the D and being able to pass to an open man.

If there wasn't ... then why aren't you guys considering James Harden to be a PG?

Harden is a combo guard and often ran the point in OKC.

Thanks for chiming in with your agreement, but I'm still waiting for Cosmo to reply.

Alright skip Bayless, if you really think kyrie is a rich mans boobie Gibson then I don't have much to say to you, boobie Gibson didn't last more than one season holding Kyries jock

LeBron is a point-forward.
