Alright skip Bayless, if you really think kyrie is a rich mans boobie Gibson then I don't have much to say to you, boobie Gibson didn't last more than one season holding Kyries jock

Are you asking me a question or are you just creating a strawman?

It's called a statement, and it addresses your blatant ignorance. There is no straw man because I'm not wrong.

Harden is a combo guard and often ran the point in OKC.

So, would you include him in your list of top PGs? Or SGs? Or Combo-guards? All the above?

Personally, I'd just call him a ball dominant SG and leave it at that.

I dunno, seems like many people are doing away with describing players in the traditional 5 positions. Seems more and more common to describe someone as a guard, wing or big (or even just a wing or big).

You've started with a falsehood and then drawn conclusions from it. That's pretty much the definition of a straw man argument.

So you're implying that you didn't call Kyrie a rich mans boobie gibson. How has that narrative been created then? what did you say that made people think you actually said that? not looking to be combative, just curious.

Exactly there's no "real" traditional positions in the NBA anymore. Is Noah a center, or a power forward? Is Jimmy Butler a guard or small forward?

It's just basically wing position, or big.

James Harden often PLAYS the point guard position. Is he not the one that initiates the offense? Sounds like a point guard to me. People can label him a shooting guard, but it's really funny how very few players today actually play the position exactly how it once upon a time was supposed to be played.

Power forwards once weren't supposed to score. The game has evolved so much, there's really no longer any serious criteria on positions.

Lilliard, Kyrie, Westbrook, and Derrick Rose don't play the point guard position at all, traditionally. If you're going to discount Kyrie as a point guard, then you're going to have to do the same.

I just look at it as the game has evolved a lot, even in the last 15 years.

That's one way to go, heck we just talk about perimeter players and interior players. The problem is we lose information. Kevin Durant, Ray Allen, James Harden, and Chris Paul may all be perimeter players - but they all bring very different skills to a team.

To me and a lot of people, though, "point guard" still has specific connotations of a player who runs his team's offense, who's an extension of the coach, who's primary goal is to make his teammates better, etc, etc ... not the smallest perimeter player on the team.

You've started with a falsehood and then drawn conclusions from it. That's pretty much the definition of a straw man argument.

But I didn't start with a falsehood, you hold a belief that is ignorant and incorrect, I'm simply correcting your falsehood.

If you're curious then join in the fun and answer my question ... Is a rich man's Boobie Gibson a top-5 PG in the league?

what does that have to do with what I asked you? I'm not interested in that discussion I'm interested in how the notion that you called Kyrie a rich man boobie gibson has arised if you didn't say that. Why do you keep going back to that top 5 pg line?

So, let me get this straight. Are you saying that a Rich Man's Boobie Gibson is a top-5 PG and I was wrong for thinking otherwise 4 years ago?

Why aren't you interested in that discussion? It is *the* discussion.
