Thoughts?


I honestly have not liked anything Doc has done with the Clippers. Can only imagine what a Austin Rivers/Lance Stephenson backcourt off the bench would look like. Also really like Matt Barnes, unfortunate he was so bad offensively in the postseason.

Stephenson is a head case and all, but given the limits they have on trying to add talent he might be the best the Clippers can do.

He would give them some desperately needed versatility at the wing position, which was a major issue for them in the playoffs.

I think being in a winning situation might also get him to be more of a team player, Doc might be able to get through to him.

Smart move for the Clippers. Doc, rightfully, had zero confidence in Hawes. Lance should be able to replace what Barnes gave them, and he's basically an expiring deal if he's still a headcase.

Would love Barnes as another wing. Not sure what type of exceptions we have available to sign him. Isn't there a bi-annual exception for teams in the luxury tax or something along those lines? I think he'd be a perfect fit

Barnes and Marvin Williams for Haywood would give us some nice depth on the wing. Probably would have to throw the 24th pick in to make that a possibility though.

Sounds like we don't need to worry about trading for him. I think he was there back in the day with Phoenix, so maybe Griff can work his magic.

Barnes is a good defender, which would be a good fit for us. Should be noted that the Cavs went after him in 2010 but signed with LAL instead.
