Hell of a starting 5 if they can retain everyone.

Yeah. Barnes would be a good back-up for LeBron to have. The role Marion was supposed to play. Not to mention, Barnes is a much better shooter than Marion as well.

How would Barnes not be able to get minutes here? We're seeing right now the importance of having a legitimate SF that can spell LeBron. Barnes would have a pretty decent role.

Barnes is a good defender, which would be a good fit for us. Should be noted that the Cavs went after him in 2010 but signed with LAL instead.

Barnes has had a West Coast only policy in free agency for years because of his family. I wouldn't be shocked if he prefers the Lakers over a contender elsewhere.
