LeBron Drops from 3rd fav player to 6th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not gonna lie, I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

Never gonna happen though. We all know that it's the LePRMachine trying to clean up his mess by making "nice" with the community if it ever became public.

Never gonna work either though.

I got word from someone close with Lebron that he's really had second thoughts, privately, about how everything rolled out, and even his decision to leave the team. The guy I talked to seemed to indeed express his opinion that he may eventually look to find his way back here at some point before his contract is even up in Miami. Just something I heard yesterday, actually...

He really doesn't believe that the final chapter has been written with him and the Cavaliers.

you know.. i always thought about this -- I honestly did right after LeBron had an interview on ESPN the day after he signed his contract about the letter. How Gilbert might regret one day how he said those things.

I really did think about it. Not being serious but just thought.. why did LeBron and all the guys push for an opt out on the 4th year. I thought a little harder and came to two things.

One - To get more money with Bird Rights
Two - To eventually come back to cleveland or go to brooklyn.

Also I read somewhere that his whole idea that one day the cleveland fans will forgive him. I dont know. I even said on this site as soon as he was doing interviews with few he was flirting with the idea of moving again in slight.

I think he see's Kobe -- Kobe won three rings with Shaq. Then won two with a decent supporting cast but not top 50 player of all time (Gasol will be a HOF but not a top 50 of all time) -- I can see LeBron wanting to come back and I can see Cleveland taking him back when he is older and mature to PROVE he can be THE man on his OWN team.

This could ONLY happen a few years from now, after he hopefully doesn't win a 'ship with that manufactured joke of a team, and demonstrates that he's actually matured as a human being.

He would need to prove that he finally gets it about Cleveland and what hometown means, and why a 'ship here is = to 10 in Botox Beach. He would have to apologize for The Decision, the lack of recruitment, the quitting until we were sick of hearing it, then do it some more.

Then, on ESPN, for the boys and girls clubs of NE Ohio, he'd have to publicly burn his Miami jerseys, Yankees hats, and Cowboy boots while swigging a "Quitness" brew from Great Lakes. Then he'd have to agree to EVERY sentence in Gilbert's letter and then walk over and be a greeter at Gilbert's downtown casino.

He's soooo self-consumed that he really doesn't get it about other people, the city, the fans, the hopes. Although, if he pulled his head out of his ass and stood up, he'd be about 9 foot tall...so I guess he could be a damn good 5 for us.

He would also need to be run through the "Humble Machine" to see if he's moved closer to St. Francis of Assisi or remained at just the Ass level.

Obviously he's feeling real stinging criticism for the first time, and it keeps coming in waves...and rightfully so. His precious brand continues to weaken. Get used to it LeSorry.

I wouldn't even consider taking him back...Anyone with any dignity wouldn't either... What he did that Thursday night and then followed it up with on that Friday on that stage is something that is just not reversible...

LeBron murdered this fan base....

And same to that bastard Ilgauskas too... Both are erased...

If that fuck comes back I would sign him for no less than the Vet Min.

So if this is true, I wonder if that is what LeBron was referring to when he responded back to Gilbert's letter in an interview and said that he "may regret that in the future" or something along those lines.

Did LeBron plan on coming back to Cleveland somewhere down the line all along?

I was thinking the same thing actually. Because what else would he be referring too? Maybe recruiting other players to CLE? Can't really call it. Although he seem pretty content in retiring with the Heat when he was speaking about "not 2, not 3, not 1,498". Bitch ass.

I would BOO his ass so bad if he ever came back to the Cavs. It would not be the same..

He said that Gilbert may regret his comments in the future because the bunch that represents him, CAA, represents almost all of the stars in the league, and now none of them will ever play here.

You do know that what you said means that you'd pay him more than the vet minimum...right? :chuckles:

Yeah, but people can change. Obviously the guy is clueless and lacks any sense of self-awareness, but maybe its an episode like this that starts to ring a bell... Hey, maybe I'm not really above it all. Maybe I need to grow up. Maybe I'm just as much of a mortal as anyone else.

I'm not going to wager on that result, but it happens. If this is the start of his resurrection back into humanity, then who knows down the road. However, it would take a lot of convincing. Something that Woj writer said rang true when he noted that Lebron and his team are so insincere that the press didn't believe them when they started leaking Miami. That's a damning indictment.

If the man hasn't started taking a hard look at himself and his "team" as a result of this fiasco, then he really is clueless.

No, he will never be a Cav again. Maybe in the future when the Cavs win a championship people will be able to forgive him, but what he did to the fanbase will NEVER be forgotten. Taking him back means that you accept what he did and tells him that it's all good. Well it's not all good, and it won't ever be good between him and this city again. I hope the number one thing that results from LeDouche is that young athletes everywhere learn what loyalty is about and that nothing like this ever happens again.

So essentially Lebron is trying to turn the NBA into a teenage sitcom. Hot girl leaves nerdy friend for the douchebag, few years later regrets it and nerdy boy accepts her back. Only Lebron would think that way, the more I think about it the more likely I think it could be. Maybe Lebron is only trying to ensure that he wins a championship and play with his friends.

Also, a lot has been made of Lebron's legacy. It's been clearly obvious Lebron loves drama, nothing would be more dramatic and unexpected than for him to come home in a few years. Well no one could argue a unique legacy would certainly be drafted by hometown team, leaves hometown team as immature kid, returns to hometown team more mature and in his prime ready to win. Either way I still hate his guts right now, but I'm not going to deny taking him back if that opportunity somehow presented itself.

Only way I would accept him back is if before the season starts he makes a national televised apology to Cleveland and Gilbert. Tells Pat Riley that he will not play a single game with Miami. Demands to be traded back to Cleveland. What the fuck am I thinking this will never happen. What is the point. He told us to fuck off basically, never thanked us for the 7 years he had here or how much love we gave him or how Gilbert Unloaded his pocket book for him.

Miami will win 4 in a row and Lebron will think Cleveland is shit just like the rest of the world.

And same to that bastard Ilgauskas too... Both are erased...
Especially that bastard, since he's been with the Cavs for 14 years and really was one of Cleveland own :chuckles:

Joke aside, didn't James say that he doesn't live with regrets?? I don't even think that he regrets the way everything unfolded : like he said, he spoiled the fans, so, they should be the ones regretting the way they acted upon his decision

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

I think this is just more of Lebron's entourage leaking shit out(like how they played the media in the Decision), but this time giving Clevelanders false hope. I don't doubt that Lebron is second guessing how things went down, but not because of him losing his hometown fans...it is because that fiasco may cost him money. The one thing that we learned about Lebron in this mess is that Lebron is all about Lebron and no one else. Fuck him.
