LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No, Jordan's Bulls were down by 1 and it was to win the series. You can't really compare the two shots.

No, you can't. And I was there for the first one, too. Drove 430 miles from Virginia on Saturday night for the Sunday afternoon game. Coliseum was incredibly loud, then went completely silent in one instant.

That was a long drive back.

The only way the Rockets got a back to back in 94/95 was because Jordan wasn't there.

I really do think Jordan could have won 9 straight, 91-99

Anyone notice after every win he slightly puts down the team by saying "they surprised me" or comments about how young they are in a negative way? Lessening the blow for if and when they come up short?

The Bulls fans have talked about how their team wasn't healthy, didn't have Rose, etc., and that is why they couldn't beat LeBron and now THEY had the healthier team, it was James and role players, James couldn't make shit and they still couldn't beat him.

As amazing as he was, he was human. His body would have broken down at some point making finals after finals. He really needed that almost couple years off to refresh mentally and physically. I still think he would have got 6, but it might have been 4 in a row and another back to back later on or something like that.

Sitting through these playoffs I seriously can't believe there were people that didn't want lebron back last summer.

What a player, and he really had matured into a much better person. I love seeing the camaraderie of this team.

The thing you have to remember is the time he took off between the 3 peats actually allowed his body to rest and recover. Going that deep in the playoffs as a leader of the team multiple times in a row really takes a toll on a person's body and if he hadn't had that extra period of rest he may not even have been able to win the 6 championships he did ultimately get.

So let's not get carried away here. Jordan is the best (for now!) but the bottom line is he won 6 championships, no more and no less.

*edit* - ah Snake just said this. But yeah, its something people often don't take into account.

Key for Lebron is Butler was the best defender he was going to face in the playoffs. None of the other teams left has a guy who can really check him. I expect his shooting to reflect that in the next 2 series.
He's NO Butler, but doesn't Dammare Carroll do pretty good on him?

Holy shit dude. The Jordan mythology is entirely earned. He would have won 8 straight championships if he didn't retire in between three-peats and might have won in 1999 as well. He was the most intense competitor and ruthless assassin sports has ever seen. If people are seriously comparing Lebron to MJ at this point in Lebron's career, then that only means MJ's mythology is not sufficiently mythological. Lebron isn't even on Duncan's level yet, let alone MJ. I take it you are pretty young?
Although Lebron is certainly not MJ yet, his peak in 09 and 13, 14 were close but still below. It is safe to say as a player Lebron has surpassed Duncan. Just not career wise, noted, Duncan always had a better team than Lebron, even when he was with his superfriends. Always. In his last two chips, he was not the best player on his team...

The real question is, Are we still at Peak LeBron or is this the beginning of his decline?

I just wish he would take less shots when they aren't falling. Im sure there are players on the team who shoot more than 30%. Just pass them the ball!
