LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I guess he got over his jealousy of Tristan. Welcome back LeBron.

Rare you see LeBron with 27 shots....just 4 ft attempts.

I am concerned that he's losing his 3 ball before the finals.

He needs to do a better job on the boards as well.
His jumper looked back to the very good playoff form in the 4th. Those 3s were backbreakers and he had another one that was half way down. Felt a lot better

Now 27 points short of tying MJ for most playoff points of all time.

Goat.
He's gonna break it in Boston. Can't wait.

Not that it's talked about much but I feel like his record is going to be damn near unattainable. Look how many years he's gone deep, and look how many years he's going to go deep.

Yeah, I mean Durant has 2800 points... basically 3100 behind. Westbrook 2200, Curry 1800, Harden 1800, Kawhi 1400. Anyone else who is closer is old and basically retired at this point. I would expect LeBron is going to basically keep pace with anything that Durant does over the next 3-4 years or so. So Durant would have to have 6-7 more deep runs (15+ playoff games) after LeBron retires to run him down, all while keeping pace right now (which is quite possible if the Warriors don't split up). I don't think that's happening because I don't see Durant staying healthy to play long enough to do that.

So I've been laughed at for this but I firmly believe LeBron James will play longer than Kevin Durant. There is a variety of reasons, but id bet money on it.

The gap in playoff games played will be stupid when it's all said and done. Even if we sweep 2 rounds every year, how many guys can say they play about 20 playoff games a year?

I mean, it's possible he could retire before LeBron. He's a little less than 4 years younger than LeBron. And he's obviously more fragile. But yes, LeBron will basically play as many games as Durant for the next several years barring Durant leaving the Warriors or them going downhill (or the Cavs somehow losing in the East).

I sort of think Durant wants the all time points record, so I wouldn't be surprised if he plays quite a while as well though.

Another record that will belong to LBJ. It's crazy to think bc Durant seems like the more natural scorer but LeBron is only .1 pt behind Durant's average for his career. Durant came in 1 year later than LBJ & missed nearly an entire year. Two things that will be hard to recover from. Also how crazy is it that LeBron had a higher ppg than KD this year? Improving jumper and hopefully FTs as he ages.

Not to mention, when LeBron does break it, you think he will leave the door open for Durant?

Durant will finish top 5, but not sure he can get to 1. First he has to stay healthy something he has never done. Second has to duplicate his points for his 19-28 years for his 29-38 years. Thats basically averaging 28 points a game for the next 8 years healthy or 25 points 10 years averaging 70 games a year(his career average games/year). Be might play after 28 but those are some big averages

Great bounce back from LeBron. Just what he needed... Nothing will get you back in a groove like a clutch 4th quarter performance. I think making that 3 was a big deal.

So far, LeBron has played his best ball in Boston, so I look forward to game 5.

Well, I'm not sure how LeBron can control how many points Durant scores or how long Durant plays... I mean LeBron's not going to go out there at 42 years of age or something and score 12 points a game so he can slowly add onto his points record just so Durant can't catch him if Durant is still playing at that point. LeBron has even said he thinks Durant could end up as the all time scorer. I don't think he will because of the reasons you mention, he's lost 117 games of his career due to injury/rest (LeBron 87 but in 4 more seasons).

I think LeBron has a very real shot at KAJ's record but it would still take some good fortune and playing until 38. He's exactly 9600 points behind KAJ right now. He scored 1954 points this year. So at 5 more years of this year's pace, which I don't expect at 35, 36 and 37 years of age, he'd break it. If he can maintain his scoring for 2 more years, he's basically 5700 behind KAJ, entering the season he turns 35. He'd have to play an additional 4 more years and average 20 a game, 75 games a year, to break it (seasons aged 35-38).

Also, to your point earlier about his record being unattainable (Playoff scoring). If he averages about 500 points a postseason (20 games at 25 ppg) for 3-4 more seasons, you're talking 8000+ playoff points. More than 2000 above MJ.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if Durant breaks it. But he is 6'11 and a very good shooter. He'll always be able to get jumpers off given his height and length.

Wait, what? Durant has been remarkably durable in his career. He had the foot issues one year, and the freak knee injury this year, but he's only missed 26 games in the other 8 seasons.

RJ said on FSO that Deron Williams missed shootaround with a bug today, and that LeBron had been dealing with the same one the last couple days.

That would explain his lethargic play. I was getting worried he was injured or he decided to channel his inner-2011. Hopefully he and Deron get well soon. Need first 10 games version of Lebron combined with last couple game versions of Love and Kyrie in the finals...
