LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I feel like part of him wanting to go out West is not to continue to keep suffering Finals losses at the hands of GS.....if he's going to lose, maybe he'd rather get knocked out in the conference semis or conference finals rather than have a 3-8, 3-9 Finals records when it's all said and done. 3-5 is fine but 3-8....yeah that looks horrible. We all know LBJ is a historian of the game and wants to be perceived as one of the greatest ever and he already is a consensus top 5 in most peoples books. But a lot of casual fans aren't going to look at the situation and just see "3-9 lol, what a loser."

Again, most of us rather go to the Finals every year and take our chances because you never know what might happen but continue losing to them if we lose to them again in 2018 might have him thinking other things.

I would think this is more accurate than not. remember, this is ESPINs dream to have LBJ go to LA, they prefer to cover events in warm locales than in Cleveland.

All we hear about is LA and Miami- WTF does Miami have to offer basketball wise that CLE can't?

I fuking hate ESPIN

This is really par for the course.

The sports media..for the most part is camped out on the eastern seaboard, chicago, and LA/SF. Look at the talking heads they air on shows like ATH or PTI. Save for the occasional Dallas guy, you do not have a guy from the middle of the country on those shows.

College football for example...

They want to cover teams like Florida St, Miami (Fl), USC, UF, Alabama and LSU because it gives them an excuse to go golf, to the beach and whatever during the week. They groan when a team like Purdue or Ohio State is good at something because that means that they have to go to a place that they find "boring".

The NBA is no different. They want the Knicks, Celtics, Heat, Nets, Lakers, Clippers, and Warriors to be good. Hell we saw it first hand from some dipshit reporter during this finals. He was whining about the fact that he had to leave the Bay Area for Cleveland, while claiming that 'the food is not good".

Can I blame them? No. I mean honestly I'm a sucker for the beach and I'm a sucker for city life. But it does illustrate a broader problem in this country with the media seemingly existing to only care about little pockets of this country.

I don't think Lebron takes the finals record that seriously to go to a west team to avoid playing GSW in the finals. It doesn't look good to go to another team.

I love LBJ, but damn he can't complain about this situation, because he is the main reason of this! He wanted to overpay his super friends TT and a 34 years old JR! He wanted dead horses like Korver and Frye! We are screwed and can't do anything to improve this roster because of him wanting to do the fucking GM too !

woulda worked if KD wasn't a bitch. we're only screwed because KD created the most lopsided team of all time

He sounds hype as fuck, ready to start balling out...

Cavs need to do their part and get him some fucking help to go up against the Warriors!

PG is moving and Bron drunk and hype. You know what that means...

The post about overpaying his buddies is right on. I knew that'd come to haunt us, we all did didn't we? And I'm feeling some players now don't want to play here and deal with the demanding LeBron, controlling everything like he does. Some current players even end up chocking more than they might otherwise cause they got that "what's LBJ expect me to do in this play mentality". IDK. Plus it'd be a class move if he'd come out and stay that he's staying in Cleveland.

LMAO...Guess what? His buddies getting paid has brought us to three straight Finals and winning one. If he was the GM, he has done a supreme job. Like Fritzln said, if it wasn't for the most bitch move by the most bitch dude ever, we probably are champs two years running. Again, even as GM, he's pretty fucking good.

Nobody is taking anything away from LeBron (except Skip Bayless who's a jackwagon, so who cares). But as usual we are in a "LeBron needs help" place in the story-arc of "the Return." (along with the never ending "Lebron is going to leave" arc which has been there since he was drafted)

I wonder just how much help there is out there. I mean, Paul George is great, but does he flip the script on Golden State and Durant? Maybe, maybe not. I think there are a few places the Cavs could go to improve here:

1. Lebron could commit longer term with the Cavs. This would help the team take a long view about winning, and how to use assets. It would also give players who might be interested in coming better assurances that they won't be stuck in Cleveland w/o Lebron in a season. (won't happen, I know)

2. The front office gets stabilized. (sigh)

3. If you can move Kev for George, do it. If not, keep Love, look to bring up the bench. Add Beverly or someone who can be dogged defensively on opposing ball-handlers, without totally being a net negative on the other end. Add someone who can do the same thing on the wing. (we are talking "stay in your lane" role players who can knock down open looks)

4. Use the regular season as practice. Amp it up defensively but for fewer minutes. If you lose a February game to the Bucks w/Lebron and Irving playing less than 34 minutes, so be it. But avoid "chill mode" and get the bench and other guys used to handling the load from time to time. I get that you don't want to kill yourself for every W over 82. What you do want is to be in a place where you know what you can give on both ends.

Honestly, my (somewhat sizable) gut says Lebron leaves with the team feeling in turmoil after an 0-4/1-4 Finals loss to GS again and we move into trading Irving and Love in the offseason for 50 cents on the dollar. (and for that matter any and everyone else)

THIS x 1000!!

It will look even worse for LeBron if Durant, Iggy and maybe Livingston take less to keep the team together so they can have the best chance to keep winning championships. Then on the flip side of that you would have LeBron making sure to always take top dollar, never sacrificing, and on top of that making sure his friend get overpaid.
