LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is an amazing grass is always greener mentality. You just saw this last damn season. And how good was it? Bennett cared so much that he came into the season nearly 20 pounds overweight. Kyrie hated his coach and sandbagged games in order to get him fired. Waiters was getting kicked out of practice and feuding with players. Have you forgotten?

This is what I'm talking about with the revisionist stuff and embellishing about the other players on this team in order to take swipes at LeBron. We saw those guys very much NOT give a shit last year. I'm not going to forget. I'm not going to suddenly pine for the good ol' days of Kyrie doing everything he could to get Mike Brown canned, giving no effort. I'm not gonna miss the great times of Bennett getting winded within five minutes of being on the court or the stories about Waiters talking back to coaches and getting sent home. Those guys did not give a shit last year for the most part and I'm not going to just assume that, if weren't for LBJ being here, they'd all the sudden start caring and play hard this season.

Yet LeBron is guilty of the exact same things we didn't want to see from the team last year. So he should be absolved?

Yea, in all of the above posts I've said LeBron should be absolved.

My entire theme of the day has been "even if LeBron were going all out and loved the coach, we still aren't winning a title with the team as is." This is just noise that distracts from that issue." Clearly LeBron is dogging it on defense for large portions of the game. But let's say LeBron was playing his ass off on defense and running the offense exactly as Blatt wanted (which, btw, would lead to him being called passive, but let's not go down that road). We still can't win a title because that won't fix the glaring holes that exist on this team and that's the real issue, or at least the most important issue.

This. Lebron needs to figure things out but this is the crux right here. BTW, excellent point about Janes running the Blatt offense and being called passive because it would happen. "Why isn't he driving to the basket as much. Why isn't he backing people down, being physical with them? Why isn't he being aggressive and exerting his will? Why is he being on the receiving end of the action and not initiating it like a true Bird/Jordan cold-blooded killer alpha dog warrior?

What an Alpha Dog Warrior might look like:

What person in their right mind would give more leverage to some rookie head coach over Lebron?

I don't think some of you understand the mentality of someone like Lebron James. He's literally THE NBA. He's the most polarizing player since you know who. He breathes basketball in every sense of the word. He's got the game of basketball wrapped around his finger. He's not going to bow down to anyone underneath his realm of basketball, on any level. He's mastered the game while Blatt has barely scratched the surface of legitimate professional basketball.

Lebron has been the most dominating force of basketball since the age of 16. You really think having some rookie coach is going to steer Lebron into the direction he wants to go?

What don't some of you understand? This isn't fucking middle school. No one gets an ounce of respect in this league without earning it in the worst way.

Giving a rookie head coach more leverage than the greatest basketball player on this planet?

Stop dreaming.

LOL. I didn't even bother to read the whole post but just got a kick knowing how much you're in heaven right now since(for the time being) you have an opportunity to rail on about Blatt that is actually basketball related. That being said, you are so far over on one side of the argument that its hard to take anything you say on the matter seriously, and anyone who's paid attention to your posts since Blatt was hired knows what I'm talking about.

He's literally THE NBA.

Hyperbole aside, the word you want to use here is figuratively. Literally describes something that actually happened, while figuratively is reserved for metaphor. Therefore what you are suggesting is that Lebron is the only player in the league. And while you are making the point that he is the most important basketball player in the Association, he is not the only one. Or perhaps you are suggesting that Lebron literally plays the games by himself, dribbling the ball at the top of the key, ignoring all the other players, not running plays, truly going ISO. If that is the case, then we are in agreement, Lebron is literally the NBA.

forgets? He talked about being selfless just 3 days ago

LeBron James said:
“Tonight we took a step forward. With Kevin Love’s sacrifice in the fourth quarter, he didn’t play and was helping, cheering, slapping hands, every time we came to the sideline, we took a step forward in that. And I hope everyone seen that. I hope everyone saw it. You know I did, I saw it.”

has nothing to do with any conversation in here but still funny

By now,we should all know that what he says to the media is far from what actually is he thinking. What selflessness? Team ball? What's that? Just look at how he plays and that will tell you what you need to know. To add, why does he have a chill mode? Shit.

Basketball 101, LeBron has no trust in his teammates, and that has a lot to do with our struggles. As a result, no one is trusting anyone out there. They all try to get it done by themselves. Actually Love seems to be the only one that consistently makes the right play.
