Derrick Rose did the same thing last game. That inbound pass on the game-winner was intended for Butler. Derrick broke the play off and did his own.

If James in-bounds the ball and doesn't take the final shot, every single media type led by arch assclown Bayless would be blogging/tweeting about LeBron afraid to take the last shot, James not clutch, James running away, etc., etc. 1,000 memes would be created overnight.
James and JR are the only ones who can rise up over everyone to create a last second shot. Even healthy, Kyrie would have to rise over perhaps a bigger defender and with little time, he wouldn't have the time to create space.
You can't have one of JR/LBJ in-bounding the ball even though Blatt was right in that everyone other than Lebron sucked at it.

Van Gundy and Marc Jackson completely silent after the Shot. The FIRST thing Van Gundy says is, "This shot was set up by the free timeout that they got." Nothing about the incredible shot. Just that the free timeout somehow guided the ball through the hoop.
Fucking disgraceful.
Edited to add: I honestly cannot remember a playoff game winner that was met with less enthusiasm.

That's like saying that you respect a judge for over-ruling the jury on an obvious verdict and it's ok because his former Assistant DA is the DA on the case.
It's inexcusable. OBVIOUSLY, there's a lot less at stake here. But it doesn't make it any less embarrassing. Van Gundy sucks. Jackson sucks too, but he's too dull to know he sucks.

It really was disgraceful.. it's hard to believe that after that historical of a shot, JVG went back to his ranting about the "extra timeout".. holy hell - it certainly justified me having the game on mute for 90% of it. ABC/ESPN ought to be embarrassed.
