I figured we could track Bron's ascent on each category here. I put it in the Around the NBA due to it having more to do with NBA history than anything specifically Cavs related. Enjoy!

Not to derail the thread by getting off topic or take anything away from LBJ just more of a side note.

Looking at these lists should give people an idea of how good the Malone / Stockton combination was in their prime and how much better Jordan / company had to be to beat them. Jordan's numbers specifically always amaze me with the years he took off (would be 1-5 in multiple categories based on career averages.)

Meh. Malone was 33 and Stockton was 34 before Jordan ever had to face them in the playoffs. There's also no guarantee Jordan gets to 6 rings or piles up a ton of stats if he doesn't get a two year break from basketball.

The overall competition during the late 80’s - 90’s was so so weak. Really no words to describe just how dominate LeBron would have been during that era. Better than Jordan ? Yes for sure without a doubt Jordan wouldn’t be Jordan if Lebron was around.

Updated heading into tonight's game.

*Bron now has 79 more points through 1,129 games than Kareem did. (6 games ago, he was just 23 points ahead of Kareem's pace).

What was Kareem's pace from here on out to the end of his career?

What was Kareem's pace from here on out to the end of his career?

Kareem averaged 24.3 points per game over his next 38 games (the amount of games he had left in the season at this point)

He then played 6 more seasons, averaging 21.5, 22.0, 23.4, 17.5, 14.6, and 10.1 (80, 79, 79, 78, 80, 74 games, respectively).

I'll answer better/more intricately when I have a little more time, probably this weekend at some point.

Updated.

LeBron now 129 points ahead of Kareem's pace through 1,133 career games.
