It's a two way street. He has to want to sign a contract with the Cavs. Maybe he's being offered a better spot someplace else?

Thats the exact quote I got from a Cavs official tonight at Canton Charge game ( I cover the Charge) sounds like he had a better opportunity or $$$ waiting for him

We're in a three way tie basically for third worst record right now (20 wins each for Cavs, Sac, and NO): no way are we going to let a feel good story get in the way of supercharging the tank now.

Lester Hudson would have had as much importance to the Cavs future as I would.

Nice story for a week but the weaknesses in his game became more and more apparent. Bad defender and mediocre shooter among them. Had 4 surprising games but that's it. For his career he's a 37.7% shooter along with 26.1% on 3's. Those numbers were close to the same here too.

Not really the best decision IMO. The Grizz got Conley, Mayo, Allen, Arenas, Selby, and Pargo all in the back court for this and next year. The Cavs have Kyrie and Gibson and maybe a rookie. Which is easier to crack? Sometimes these guys just don't think.. watch, he'll be waived by Memphis after training camp.. will be back in the DLeague and that'll be the end of the run.

At a minimum he gets a 1 week contract and NBA playoff pay. I'm not sure how he could turn that money down.

The grizzlies jumped on him in 2010 and immediately assigned him to the d league.
since then he has gone to china. played well in the d league and looked good for the cavs with 2 ten day contracts.

They were probably looking at him all year . it is also probably why he took a 2nd ten day contract instead of the full season so he could maintain his playoff eligibility.

It was just a smart move by Hudson. Now he is in his hometown. has a chance for playoff time and Mayo will likely be traded in the offseason.

Selby pargo and arenas all just suck.
