Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Frankly, this is astonishing given the shooters we have and that we have a top 5 offense despite this shitty shooting.

What this also means is that we are creating tons of looks (8.3 WIDE OPEN threes a game is a lot).

Coming into this game, we were shooting 35.5% OVERALL from three and that means we are shooting a higher clip on slightly contested threes and who knows what on highly contest threes.

This is good in a way. Anecdotally, we've all seen them brick open threes while opponents chuck up shots and they go in. This should even out over the year and with chemistry built up, we legitimately could have the best offense in the league.

How do they work this out mentally? Getting a big doesn't solve anything if no one boxes out or even defends in lengthy stretches. This team should take a page out of their opponents playbook, don't get down and not play the right way when the other squad gets it going, continue to play and the laws of averages will work itself out. It seems as soon as a team gets hot, they just curl up and give up.

Shocking that someone actually disagrees with this post. The trade that was done is done 10/10 times period. As someone that has watched Wiggins play something like 12 times now I will tell you that the odds that he is EVER as good as Kevin love are extremely low.

Not to mention if he does become that good it would be years off when Lebron is in his twilight. Can we just put this shit to bed? We made an excellent move and were able to dump AB's albatross contract to boot.

You can't teach stupid.

Like it or not i bet ray Allen would be able to hit 45%+ on those wide open threes. Seems like Dion Delly and Love are just awful from three.

I'm glad LeBron wants to be in "chill mode".

I think what explains the difference is that Lebron/Kyrie are shooting the contested 3s and Love/Waiters/Delly are shooting the wide open ones. Lebron/Kyrie are shooting reasonably competently from 3 this year (37% or so, not great but not bad). The others not so much.

The first fucking question after that debacle last night from our piss poor reporters should have been "So were you in chill mode tonight?" but instead there were no hard hitting questions because Lebron gets a pass.

We went through this before, he's out there loafing every other damn game, and it looks like Game 5 versus the Celtics way too frequently. He sets the tone for this team, and he hasn't been setting it at all. It's not the coach's fault, but they're going to be the ones taking the fall. God damn it. This is typical Cleveland.

Lebron showed no god damn sign of decline in May or June, then all of a sudden 5 months later everything is below the rim and he lost his explosiveness? Yeah right.

This team would be fine if they would stop chucking up 3 pointers. I don't know why they don't attack the paint. It makes no sense to me.

It seems watching the game the other teams sag in the paint on us and when there is no ball movement there are no open lanes for our up athletic team to drive to.

we loaded the team with shooters to provide spacing. When the shooters are all missing open looks the other teams will pack it in, which it what happened last night.

This really has been a nightmare so far

Being a Cleveland fan is so sucky

We can't stop a player from any position currently. I'm not sure if you can say we have a single good defender on this team at the moment.

We just need a new GM that'll put a competent team together next offseason.
