Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
All the comments that Lebron was making at the beginning of the season were correct. He was around this team and coaching staff he saw our weaknesses and what we needed to do to improve .

He seems prescient now with his comment about the fact that it could get a lot worse.

Only thing giving me hope is that we were once 18-11, had the fourth best offense, and a +4 SRS. We must have been doing something right.

Well, as Van Gundy says regularly, playing hard all the time is a skill. It's not something everyone can do. And quite frankly, Irving can't do it. He doesn't know how to play hard at all times. He doesn't know what it means to really, really give effort on defense. He may very well love David Blatt and want him as his coach, he just has no idea how to play hard for the guy.

At least last years team was fun to watch. Even in losses, they were close, they competed, they fought. This team has no heart. They have no problem with losing by 30. They are getting paid regardless. screw them.

dude we lost by 46 last time we played the kings in Sac lol

Also, my same rant from last game, but any time our 3 point specialists that can't do anything else at all feel like making some open 3s when the game is still close would be fine by me. Mike, James..do your fucking jobs for fucks sake.

I don't think a single loss has made me feel more angry than this last one against the Kings. And the Cavs lost by over 40 points the last time they were there. I hated the WHOLE idea of "playoff push" last season. Dion (and some of you will be mad at me saying this) should have been traded WAY earlier. There should have been no Bynum, no Deng, no Earl Clark, and no Jarrett Jack. I really would have loved a more organic run to the playoffs, even if it meant lottery for one more season.

This team is so embarrassingly bad I'd rather be a fan of the current Knicks and the 76ers. Particularly the latter, since they're actually putting forth effort whilst tanking. They have gotten every single break known to man but neither the front office nor the players themselves can do what's right to win. And really, the latter gets more heat from me.

I wouldn't be mad at Kevin Love if he could score before the team has already lost.
I wouldn't be mad at Kyrie if he realized there's more to the game than scoring.
I wouldn't be mad at LeBron if he never thought he needed "Chill Mode" (or that he's a surrogate GM).

This team has turned into what I didn't want after The Decision. A mess of ill-fitting and stubborn players who get blown out by bad teams, overly dependent on ONE player. Teams that used to be afterthoughts, never thought to contend -- the Raptors, the Wizards, and the Hawks have actually built themselves into cohesive teams. Contenders even. And lest we forget, the Chicago Bulls are looming.

The Cavs have "The Best Player On The Planet" and they still look like the same old crap we saw after 2010. This is unacceptable. I doubt a coaching change or personnel change will fix this. The chickens have come home to roost... again.

Defense is so bad I don't even know where to start.

Transition D = awful.
P&R defense = awful.
Isolation D = awful.
Defensive rebounding = mediocre.

Hell we can't even create turnovers. Kings are a high turnover team and they had a SEASON LOW 5 turnovers.

It's hard to be bad at every aspect of the game defensively but somehow we have pulled it off.

It's almost like they have learned helplessness on defense. These guys don't get mad anymore when guys hits shots over and over, they almost just have the Cleveland mentality of "of course this happens to us"

It's sad to see. The whole "simplification" of the offense just leads to what we saw on last year's team before the Hawes/Varejao backdoor cuts were implemented and it's really sad to see just how bad this team is without LeBron

Plus juggling how everyone else wants Love and LeBron to leave and having to hear about it all the time how we're the Lakers Big 3 all over again...

Tough time to be a fan, for sure.

This might sound odd. How did the injury to A.V mess us up this much? It seems after that the team went from looking like a team on the verge of getting it then they just lost all confidence. Kyrie is so mentally fragile it is insane. I mean it is almost like we are trying to lose for some reason. Also why can't these three point "experts" Hit any of them. Every time I turn on a game I see nothing but bricks and if I am lucky a Delly or Love three. I am not ready to go bride jumping but I just don't get it. Hurry up Bron and Shump!

We look so slow and unathletic out there and that gives the opponents so much confidence. Delly, Miller, Harris, Jones...although Delly was a + player last year and Miller was a starter on a team that should have beaten OKC last year.

I would love a Jared Dudley or Khris Middleton or Alan Anderson or Thabo or Ellington or PJ Tucker or DeMarre Carrol orArthur or Antic or James and Amir Johnson or Jarnell Stokes or Lavoy Allen or Markieff Morris or Terrance Jones or Watson or Cory Joseph or Patrick Beverly or...

These are the types of role players we need and not the confidence inducing scrubs we have.

Operation get coach Blatt fired is into full swing! Way to go players! I'm happy that as a whole the rich, spoiled, entitled & uneducated athletes will get their way! LeBron can handpick one of his buddies to coach the team and make another poor decision to be added to the list of poor decisions that have been made by this franchise.
